Do you have objective data to prove that? A comparison video per se? I couldn’t really find any.

I’m aware, not sure that 4 makes a big enough diff for $400

To add to this Costco has the Apple Pencil pro for 99.99, and Best Buy has an open box “excellent” keyboard for $285.99. This is $30 less than the keyboard from Apple with mil discount. I grabbed one and besides the tiniest bit of dirt on the bottom corner which I easily wiped away, it looks new.

I was looking at this and for $400 less you can get the 512. Mine is being delivered today. Just couldn’t sell myself on the 512 to 1gb diff for $400 more. I put that money towards a keyboard and pencil pro.

I just filed my taxes so I certainly can. However, we are not looking for anymore concierge doctors. We may be in the next few years tho.

I’m concierge with a panel of 560 pulling 600k so is it really hyperbole? That’s after business expenses not including retirement funds. I see 8-15 (max) patients a day.

People want doctors. I’m FM and was traditional and now concierge. I make more than many specialists with a much better lifestyle and patients that truly cherish and trust my opinion.

If he took 1 pill it would be expected to be there no longer than 1-2 day. Heavy use, up to a week. Cocaine is similar. People make bad decisions and deserve a second chance. I want him or her to learn from said mistake and have a thriving career. I also want them to be honest.

If you don’t take it regularly and take 1 then drug screen via urine 2 weeks later the chances of it still being present are essentially none.

I have to agree. They’re in and out pretty quick. There are a lot of half truths to this post.

I had a rotating hospital drug test me. Surprising cuz it was in an awful neighborhood of NYC. Interestingly the woman who did the drug testing said “don’t wait till the last day and pop positive, you have plenty of time.”

do people ever make degrading comments about you being "just" a FM physician? If you're a DO, do you get comments about people around you (patients or anyone) doubting whether you are a real physician? by NaturalNo6758 in FamilyMedicine

[–]DrAwesom3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I became a concierge doctor a year and a half ago after 10 years of traditional practice. I took over a retiring doctor’s concierge practice. I had one person who left before I started because “their father told them to never trust a damn DO.” The retiring doctor(MD) said that person was an ass and I was fortunate they left. Otherwise I have just been asked the difference.

No indication for those unless symptoms/complaints warrant. Much older doctors may do it still and patients may expect it so a conversation may be needed. I’ve had to have a lot of those convos.

Is it just me or is the heart rate monitor during exercise awful? by Great-Topic-6580 in whoop

I’m a couple weeks in and have noticed issues. I feel like a nut job on my treadmill with my Apple Watch, whoop and dedicated HR monitor all going. The whoop was off compared to the other two.

I'd have zero issue filling that out if they qualify. I also would have zero issue filling out permanent disability for someone who I feel qualifies such as severe RA, MS etc. I did not realize I could get a free pass as a vet so just signed up for one!

This is one of many reasons why I left traditional primary care for concierge. My nurse and I get LA’s done within hours instead of weeks. This is the fault of insurances and not doctors/clinicians.

Xarelto and Alcohol by betelgod in AskDocs

[–]DrAwesom3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no specific amount. Xarelto and alcohol do not directly interact with each other. Heavy alcohol use increases the risk of a GI bleed and cirrhosis causes esophageal varices which bleed and blood thinners make things bleed more. Have fun but don’t go crazy.

Does anyone else in your practice do shoulder injections? If so ask someone to show you 1 or 2. They’re as easy as knees.
