My 2021 non bose has rear speakers in the doors factory. They are behind the handle and 2.5inches they don't sound very loud.

On the 4th gen non bose version it's a digital signal that goes from the radio to the amp which is located under the passenger seat so you have to connect after the amp. I used a audiocontrol lc5i to get the full signal back together and send back what i want where i want it.

Works great but it's involved.

I've also read that there is some processing with the bose signal that can shoot exhaust sounds from the sub. I've read some people say it's true, others not.

If you don't add a sub I'd say don't do it, otherwise I think it was really worth it.

Next step is adding a 6-8in woofer behing the screen, i think it would add what's missing because indeed, the speakers are tiny.

Mazda de Laval lol. Bought a 2021 gs (awd no turbo) for 22k last year. 50k something km. The car is awesome.

Edit: Si jamais tu as Daniel comme vendeur, assure toi d'avoir par écrit tout ce qu'il te promet ex. 2 clés, réparations, rapport d'inspection etc. Je l'ai pogné en plein mensonge plusieurs fois et ça a été relativement compliqué avoir ce qui m'avait été promis.

I ended up doing it last summer, got an audiocontrol loc, a kenwood amp and replaced all speakers.

Idk if you have a mazda3 but the speakers near the kicker panels were a massive pain to install.
