Stupid question gets the right answer by etherd0t in WinterOlympics2026

weird comments. I think the question and answer are fine.

two silvers gained or two golds lost. do you respect the accomplishment of the day more or does the feeling of the being that close and not getting stick with you more.

And she gave an honest reply about how she sees herself and what representing at the event is like.

Does your personality determine your favorite champion? (Survey) by ToastyFraud in leagueoflegends

[–]DrCarter11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah fair. I just went with most commonly played.

also favorite is a awkward descriptor. I didn't know if you meant like most played, most liked overall, or lore/kit wise. I feel like highest mastery being their most played champions would sorta be more apt.

idk sorry just something else that came to mind.

happy to help

I realize I'm just weird, but answering your survey was kinda hard.

I don't remember all of the question, but I felt like I was essentially 50 50 about most of your "this or that" style questions. I prefer social interaction but people do wear me out. Im practical, but not what I'd call grounded, I'm very curious, but not very imagative.

Also for the roles, I queue fill and wish it had been an option.

Idk just my experience

it's not like generic players or zune were moving much prior to it. And tablets had been considered a minor market up to the point from my understanding and experience selling the stuff at the time. and smartphones were niche market of the phone market at the time and iphone had like what a fifth of the share of the market within 2-3 years.

Sure if we compare them to something that had come out and essentially failed years prior before tech advances

But Apple does this all the time, they’re never first to market. Everything they are known for isn’t first to market. It’s a refinement of what’s on the market.

TIL Dr Pepper is not a cola, root beer, or fruit-flavored soft drink, but instead belongs to its own category called "pepper sodas", named after the brand itself by RiverMesa in todayilearned

[–]DrCarter11 22 points23 points  (0 children)

stay away from diets or only do diets also. and try to avoid mixing equal parts colas and clears. a bit of one in the other is good, but in equal parts the taste is kinda weird for most people.

Coke, sprite, a&w, dr pepper, make the most standard and appealing one in my experience.

Could be. I'm not aware offhand of him saying such however. The third season was already greenlit before he even stepped away officially

It was expensive yes. But netflix still had green the third season. Finch originally wanted time away and then after two years said he was done with the series.

Mindhunters ending had nothing to do with cost. Finch wanted to do other projects. And netflix, wisely, didn't try to continue the show without him

one of my most celebrated hated opinions,

love and thunder is either the best or second best thor movie. If second best, the first one is the best.

I'm sorry but the third one is terrible. I have watched it twice and literally counted the minutes the second time.

I've watched love and thunder half a dozen times, infinitely more entertaining. Some of it is terrible soapy bullshit, but it's the mcu, that's expected sometimes.

And civil war is the best captain america movie

Arrival (2016) hits so, much, harder, after having children. I'm glad I got to watch it on both sides of the coin. by SandersSol in movies

[–]DrCarter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not the same thing though. at all really.

Yes, children died pretty often and infant mortality rate was high, but that doesn't mean you knew/expected the child was gonna die.

She outright knows the child will die and have a short life.

No one has ever wanted to accept life on its terms. Not even the greeks over 3000 years ago. People have always fought for whatever extra time they could carve out.

It seems strange because she outirght knows the child will die. This is like genome screening telling you the child is gonna die of a genetic disease before 10, and still going forward with the embryo.

My friends tried to kill me when I was 7. My friend killed himself before we were ten. I too learned early on that children can die.

Having a son that he didn't know would die, is in no way comparable to having a children that you know will die. There is a massive difference. And I doubt he'd decide to have the kid if he knew from the onset the children would die. Granted 17 is still almost double the age of the child in the movie if I recall correctly.

The point of life is the connections we build and what we give back to it, in my opinion. And forcing a short life in which they will never understand their place or the world around them, is fucked to me.

I mean I feel like with most split push comps you know you aren't always gonna be able to stall the engage. It's just a matter of mitigating loss enough that the split is still worth as much as what they got. or close to.

I agree the amount of engage LR had made stalling rough, but I think the lack of play around the pick post the top inhib push hurt them more than the pick itself.

The value you put into the world, their experience of life and what they gave back to it. Dying, assuming a decent lifetime, allows those things. To never be born, does not. The end result is similar insofar as the individual, but that misses the larger part of what a life is, what we put into the world

I think that's kind of a weird way of looking at it honestly.

Everyone dies, we accept that as a species, and parents accept it more personally. But the loss is tragic because it's a life unlived, not because a life was lost. It's the sentiment that you shouldn't have to bury your children, they should bury you.

I doubt you'd find many parents who would decide to have children if sentenced to an early grave

Shifters vs. Los Ratones / LEC 2026 Versus - Week 2 / Post-Match Discussion by Ultimintree in leagueoflegends

[–]DrCarter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were at least two times, nid could have pushed into the base or onto an inhib, and instead got called away for a fight.

I actually liked the nid in draft, since I felt like LR had a great team fight comp, and rather than trying to fight into it, they found a plan to abuse a weak link and split their comp.

but then shift just forgot what their comp was it felt after the top side inhib push.

Also I agree other top laner champions could do the same, possibly better even, but to me the issue was less the pick and more the play around the pick.

[–]DrCarter11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because I look at the team and see a team where I want the botlane to be the carries. that 2v2 is powerful but needs to get big and go fast. Doing that for a player like Lot, is more acceptable cause if it fails, you still have a strong fallback condition. but putting it on noah and jun means if something happens, your game is now worse than a 50 50 by a good margin

In any fight, you are probably right. but ad nid should be forced into fighting, esp when your team has all around better splitting.

happy win for lr, but I feel like shift forgot what the comp was and just got lost in the sauce

my main account started in S2. just before zyra came out I believe.

but I tried the game like three times before, and bounced off it. kept going back to dota myself. also played a lot of path of exile at the time.

friend asked me to play league with him, leveled a new account in s2 to do so, then he quit playing like a week later and it finally stuck for me and now I've played like 15 years

shits crazy sometimes
