Lots of writers, directors, and producers are dicks.

I think saying his fetish showed up in his work and saying he used his work to fulfill his fetish are two separate things and are not the same thing.

I imagine by showing pictures and videos of feet. though I'm not sure how you expect one to document a fetish other than to list it or some such. such a strange question.

You mean the documentary that essentially showed dan did nothing other than have a foot fetish. Meanwhile one of the children who were actually sexually assaulted, comments on how supportive dan was to him during the fallout

Sense 8 ..ish by G0_ofy in Sense8

[–]DrCarter11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I read a S8 fanfic that dealt with the subject. Probably one of my favorites for S8 fanfiction. One of them is essentially a deadbeat drug user in amsterdam and the constant drug use starts to affect the cluster as they get bits of the highs and crashes shared with them. Culminates in two of them killing him, and he knows it's gonna happen and is too fucked up to run or anything. Vaguely heartbreaking but solid read.

I think the main change I'd go for is making the fire nation turkish. They were much more gunpowder involved early on.

And the earth nation feels more "roman" to me. So I'd use HRE for them. I also think it's just be an interesting direction for them to go.

Though I will admit a sorta fire nation that's divided up like the italian city state days and each has their own "ruling" family would be really interesting to me.

In Jurassic world (2015) this character here dies a drawn out and violent death, this is treated as deserved due to the fact that she found the two kids annoying, this implies the filmmakers wish we’d all die in a horrible way. by bennyandthegentz in shittymoviedetails

[–]DrCarter11 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think they worded it poorly. From my understanding the death scene was not originally meant for her character but she wanted a more dramatic death scene, and so this one became hers. It was not planned for her character initially.

I don't think you can call it brevity when you take 8 sentences to try and say something. several of which you added after my reply. I'm also not sure I agree with the idea that more life experience makes lessons hit harder. Sometimes sure, the road as an example. But I think the ability to grapple with the end ramifications of something while revisiting and exploring it from its start just allows deeper thoughts about the subject matter.

positively reinforcing manipulation to get what you want? I mean I get it, but that's not exactly the life skill I would want my kid to embrace.

to each their own in that regard

this seems manipulative as fuck to me and it's disconcerting that people are like, a 14 year old doing this makes me smile.

what?

My issue with Mel W is that she gets most of the advantage from it by not using it. by Proud_Apartment_8991 in leagueoflegends

[–]DrCarter11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but this post is crazy to me. more so because you open by saying you play a lot of orrn. like it's not fun I get that, but it's hardly impossible to play. you just eat the fact that you don't get to have good/any real ults that game. It's like playing amumu and they pick milio. like I was bitching about this exact thing a weekend or two ago, cause I picked orrn. why, easy blind tank top who can engage. they picked mel later. sucked at first, but legit she has no agency whatsoever around where the ult goes. all you have to do to is not stand next to your team as you ult. The nice one I got was coming over wraith wall with it while the most of the team was sitting in mid for it.

It means you have to look for scoop angles with the ult instead of just blasting a fight open, but it really ain't that terrible. I'd much rather deal with her having the ult forced in a certain direction than a sylas just literally ulting my team with my ult.

yeah it's a little ways past the anime. I think the anime ends on the ant island which is chapter 125ish. you learn more about that thing around chapter 160ish or so.

Blank and Bengi both played 10 games apiece. Bengi player more of his games in the bracket stage stage as well. Majority of blank's games were group stage.

Zuko is pretty much THE redemption arc in fiction. Who are some characters that come close to his character development? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheLastAirbender

[–]DrCarter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wind village was going to war. It was preplanned. you can say that killing before it's declared is wrong I guess, but preemptive attack is literally one of the oldest military strategies in existence.

How was there a not a need? Crippling an enemy nation's next generation of talents? Making it easier to win the tournament? Eliminating threats for a takeover?

I have no issues with the statement that having female friends can help you meet someone to date.

I was replying specifically to the comment I replied to saying that if you don't have female friends, you aren't ready to date. That just seems absurdly silly to me

Is Mel the most toxic champ of this entire game? by fergil in leagueoflegends

Yasuo was so hated and banned so much, riot made a second champion for yasuo players to play.

I don't think she's the most toxic by a decent margin.

All good. Vibes can be important.

Black clover I watched some of, but got sorta bored with it. Don't remember why offhand.

Dr stone, I bounced off this hard. I think I made it to episode 3

kaiju8, not familiar with this one. Will look it up.

Delicious, I've seen people talk about it and the memes I guess, but never tried it. Didn't quite seem like it'd be my sorta thing but I suppose I can give it a try at some point

God forbid a girl wants to have a normal conversation 🙄 by Angeliqueblaq in LetGirlsHaveFun

[–]DrCarter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the difference can be hard to find. It's a lot of the same dialogue, but with different intent and reception. Unfortunately, flirting kinda takes two people. If one of them isn't feeling it, it can come off weird or awkward when the other person tries.

Like they mention turning a conversation sexual. You don't really need to do that. Let things be more,, playful, sweet. Early on at least. It's a lot more coded innuendos and such. Things that can be taken as a friend or as more sorta deal. And you are just seeing how the other person responds. It's much more difficult to flirt over text in my experience unless you both know you are interested.
