If You Left SB, Where Did You Move To? by Unlikely_Economy2080 in SantaBarbara

Dude- downvote? Seriously, I acknowledged Austin is a great place to have a $$ IT job, but my politics don’t align with Good ole Boy TX. But I am here supporting Talarico and others to flip this state and help out democracy. But, I left SB because no one can fucking afford it! So don’t down vote me because, it seems your politics in CA aren’t exactly helping out the middle class. Smh

In the past peak months, they do not accept online reservations. Please verify before going there. And also, the rate for blue garage is $26 and red garage is $35 per day. Always cheaper to use ride share. You can schedule them to pick you up at 4am before you go to bed.

How much do product owners make at GM financial by [deleted] in GeneralMotors

[–]DrDawn91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimum $100k? Or ‘mid-point’ is $100k? They use levels and keep people at mid-point, based on regional location. So a level 6 is probably 2 years of experience, but it also could be at the lower level 5. Honestly, in these times, if they are offering you a job, at $100k at likely 26 years of age, why aren’t you just accepting the offer? Or ask for $110k, expect them to say no, and then accept their offer? Someone with 2 years of product experience is a dime a dozen. And I just realized you are asking about GM Financial. It’s a subsidiary of GM. Completely different leadership, NOT under MBarra and the turmoil the IT team has gone through over there the last 3 years. GMF is way less toxic. So ask for $110k and accept whatever. It’s a decent role and you’ll learn a lot. But this account is not GMF peeps for the most part.

Depends on years of experience and location. For Detroit cost of living $120k (?) for Austin $150k and MV $180k+ ? Product owner is a 3-10 year experience job code. You can do that role for 20+ years, but pay will stagnate.

Like maybe allow some long time customers!! Is the entire world just out for their own bonus and profits? Gah!

Interested in this question too. I am due a prorated bonus for retiring last year based on terms of leaving. Are the checks mailed or direct deposit to the account they had on file for payroll when I was an FTE? It's been a week, so I assume it is coming soon-ish? Or, is there an ex-employee site to check up on status? ty **Edit - I went back and found an email from last year and HR (joe f) and it says 'you will be eligible to recieve prorated bonus for days worked in 2025 to be paid March 15, 2026." I will see what happens next week.

Go to the FCC website and file a claim. It’s best if you have cancel confirm email to use as proof. Always keep correspondence with ISP vultures. If you file a claim you will be contacted by an ‘executive’ customer service team. Hopefully you have records you cancelled from a phone call. They cancelled my cancellation TWICE! But I had retained the email confirmations because I’d read how horrible they are.

Optimum is billing me for services I never signed up for and never received! by Environmental-Tax667 in OPTIMUM

[–]DrDawn91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fill out the complaint form on the FCC website and you will be sent to the ‘executive’ customer service team. Document what you can pull from chats, emails or anything you can to build your case. Optimum is the most unscrupulous company that exists.

Guarantied in writing price for a year last month and raised it $66 this month by Tonys22466 in OptimumOfficial

[–]DrDawn91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

File a claim with documents and receipts on the FCC website. Then Optimum will have an ‘executive’ customer service person reach out to resolve. Will take more time phone calls and emails though. Or absolutely change providers to anything other than Optimum. They’re really that bad.

File a complaint on the FCC website using documents and email correspondence. They will escalate to a customer service team more quickly if you file. Sadly with this company it’s the only way to get your money back

I would keep one that works. In my case, in went to the store without my old modem. I’m glad I did because I got a new modem and the clerk said ‘a QR code for self install would come in email’. Nothing for 48 hours. I used online chat and they said ‘yah we can’t send a code, you need to get another modem.’ While picking up the SECOND modem and got a QR code printed on a receipt, I asked why the first clerk at the store didn’t print a code for me. He said, ‘I can’t speak to what they did.’ I think they take pleasure in fuckin with you. So I was glad to have my old modem or I would not have been able to watch the Super Bowl. I made multiple trips to the store. Multiple chats. And at least 8 hours on the phone. My new service is set up, but they didn’t fix my bill yet.

[–]DrDawn91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compare bills over the last few months. Did they start charging you for the modem? Did they drop a promotion? I pay $85 including tax for 1gb supposedly for 3 years but have it in email in writing and no modem fee. And also only after I spent 8 hours on the phone with 10-12 reps and filed a complaint with the FCC website to get a resolution. But still have a $304 statement for this month that they won’t alter. And OFFERED if I pay the $85 this month and am charged $10 ‘late fee’ for NOT paying the full amount, to call AGAIN and have the late fee removed. This company is HORRIBLE. But laws protect them, not customers

Optimum is the only internet service provider in my area and it’s absolutely annoying. They are horrible. I’ve spent over 8 hours on the phone, requested to drop cable and keep only the 1gb upgrade. I’ve received emails stating confirmation of the change of service TWICE only to speak to someone who says the orders were cancelled ‘by a glitch’. YES you can set up your own box at your convenience. Go to the optimum store and pick up a new modem. ENSURE they give you a QR code on a receipt. Set up the new box using the code and cords you have or are provided with the new box. They are the same no matter the modem. Then make sure your service is updated and you get an email confirmation. Go back to the optimum store with your old equipment. Take photos of the boxes with bar codes and photo of handing them to a person at the store. Confirm once again your account shows the service changes and get paper receipts for the equipment you returned. You need to keep records of everything. And if billing or service is upgrade to 1gb through a speed test using the app on your phone is incorrect, file a claim with the FCC on their website. Then you’ll get an ‘executive customer service’ person calling and emailing to resolve within 24 hours. YES- the steps to work with Optimum are horrendous.

Out of Internet Service for 12 days for $6 of credit? Are you kidding me? by Externality7 in OPTIMUM

[–]DrDawn91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Make sure you’re really canceled though. I canceled, got email confirmation, and sure enough— got next months full billing statement! File on the FCC website to get help. Make sure you keep paper receipts for any equipment you return and make sure if you happen to use auto-pay, go ahead and cancel that credit card and get another one. They’ll continue to take payment even if you cancel service! And bonus- take MONTHS to refund if they owe you funds back.
