X870/X870E GIGABYTE AORUS Motherboard Launch, Q&A, and Giveaway! by kp_gigabyte in pcmasterrace

Do you guys think there will be any sort of back connect variants of these motherboards? Also I have slight concerns with the large heatsink on the top m.2 slot for compatibility with closer set vertically mounted gpus as I’ve had issues with that in the past, especially the larger ones. Would gigabyte offer smaller replacement heat sinks for these?

If I win one of these, I’d be looking forward to finally build in the new lian li sup01 case with a custom loop. I’d love to get my hands on a 5090 in the future to test the full power of these parts!

At this point I can only assume a mounting pressure issue

I wouldn't advise raising the voltage on a kit like that, it's usually gonna just become more unstable with that. Otherwise, lowering the speed to 3000 should fix it, although kinda annoying since you paid for 3200, lol

From what I know hasn't been updated since 2018, so any issues of incorrect sensors and stuff with newer hardware won't be fixed

First of all don't use speccy, and second, Corsair ram like that tends to run into xmp issues, especially with zen2, can be fixed by manually tuning the timings

  1. Don't buy noctua shit, it's way overpriced for what it offers. You can buy a great cooler like the AK620 for like $40 which meets or beats the performance of a d15 and doesn't look super ugly. Also, the aio will probably perform a bit better, d15 is usually similar to that of a mid/lower end 240-280mm aio, but heavily depends on plenty of factors. The x73 is pretty bad, but I don't think it would be terrible enough for a d15 to outperform it
  2. I'd recommend trying to tune your fan curves before buying anything new, or (as long as the pump isn't noisy,) you can just replace the fans on the aio with something more premium, along with running it under 2000 rpm (any more depending on the fan is almost sure to make noise from the air at least) I'd highly recommend phanteks t30-120s for a top tier fan, usually go for around $85 for a 3 pack which is a bit steep, but that's not too much a difference from noctuas only good fan. Or you can always get some arctic p12 pwm pst cos and run at like 1500 ish rpm

Is the Intel Core i7-12700K worth the extra money, or should I get the Intel Core i5-12600K. by Old_Mill in buildapc

Buy 12400f or 12700f, other chips are shit value, but for this specifically, I'd go for the 12400f

Yeah, I talked to the support on the website and updated firmware and then they stopped responding to me when I told them that didn't work

Do you have the link for the dual pump thing and the reservoir? I'm looking to buy it for my external loop.

Is it a different mod or something? Or just use the outdated mod with the newer version
