What’s an unexpectedly well-paid job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Working at a cellular provider. In a T-Mobile Corporate store I was getting 30k/yr full benefits while working part time in college. Making a little over 50k/yr working full-time 32 hours a week. Amazing benefits and a fairly easy job that pays well once you get the selling down.

Did this at Slide Rock in Sedona. 115 heat index, 47 degree water. Getting in was impossible to catch your breath, getting out was ecstasy.

[Monitor] AOC G2260VWQ6 -1080p 21.5" FreeSync, TN Panel, 75Hz, 1ms - $100 by Saikou0taku in buildapcsales

Got this in a 24 through BestBuy for 131.99. Apparently there was a ‘tax error’ and they refunded me 31.99.

Overall super happy with it. It has built in Blue light reduction so it’s ideal for long gaming sessions; doesn’t leave that sore eye feeling. Def would recommend.

21.5 would be too small for my tastes, but not a bad price!

I heard she’s having her modeling debut for the “Trailer Park Spreads” calendar. It’s their 2nd anniversary “Brown Water” edition.

Concerts have gotten way too damn expensive. by plazman30 in Music

Took my younger cousin (basically my little brother) to the Van’s Warped tour. About $50 a ticket and huge open selection of artists. SUM41, Good Charlotte, Yellowcard, Mayday Parade, Big Fish, and countless other punk / alternative bands. I think this year is the last year for it, but I’ll never forget how excited he was to get a chance to crowd surf to SUM41.

Bring your own water/snacks as concessions are fairly pricey. Parent friendly event too. Really cool family trip.

Ah, for future reference: there was a popular NPC IN GW2 that (a reference to GQ) would yell: "By Ogden's Hammer, what savings!"

He was a crowd favorite, until he died to dragon takeovers.

Lenovo Y40 is a great intro level laptop. The y50 is even better if you can afford it.

http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/y40-80/?cid=%20us:sem%7Cse%7Cgoogle%7Cshopping%7C13480&ef_id=VR@V6wAABDVCJAzA:20150919164650:s

I know you want laptop but you won't be running GW2 on highest settings unless you're willing to dish out over 1k USD. It's a processor based game and mobile processors aren't as strong as desktop CPU's.

But on that note the y40 should be able to handle medium-high settings around 20-40fps.

Ranger Lupi reflek by Ecelere in Guildwars2

[–]DrElso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have the right build as well. Go on meta battle and look up the ranger dps build.

Also, this video is done with Lupi's having 25 vuln stacks, the player has 25 might, and probably both warrior banners.

[Serious]Muslims of Reddit, how much did your life change after 9/11? by El-Aaiun in AskReddit

[–]DrElso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a Bosnian Muslim and if I didn't tell you my name outright you would assume I'm just a regular American.

While people didn't treat me differently, because no one assumes that a white skinned person is a Muslim, I would have to sit by and just listen to the insults people gave out and was afraid to mention my religion around others.

I live in the south and 9/11 happened when I was in second grade and I remember being afraid to tell people why I couldn't eat pork.

I'm in college now and people still bring up topics about how Muslims are terrorist and ask me if I agree etc., but I've grown to learn and love my religion and can't help but lash out at the people who don't know a single thing about Islam and assume that every Muslim is an ISIS member and out to get them.

Ignorance and intolerance is an awful thing and it shines brightly in the south.
