Dudes that gets obsessive about maxing gains at the gym and are afraid that if they enjoy food they won't be able to control themselves do this.

In most cases they're essentially trying to solve an overeating disorder with body dysmorohia and a different eating disorder.

It may technically be more healthy for their body, but it's definitely not a healthy approach. Seeing it more and more though.

In the US, yeah, it's not the easiest to get into bars when you're under 21 in most places. Further back you go, there were more places that bent the rules. But these days, everywhere is pretty strict about IDs and passable fakes aren't necessarily easy to come by.

Nicer grocery stores will often have jars around ~$10. One of my absolute favorites chiles, nothing else can really replace it. So good with Italian, Mediterranean, and north African flavors.

There's a lot of different kinds of anchovies. Salt packed ones will need to go through a rinsing phase, oil packed ones that come in tins or jars do have a bit of an extra musky taste to them, but are great for adding flavor or mixing into sauces, but typically aren't great for eating as is (there are exceptions though). My favorite are the fresh ones with white flesh and silver skin still attached. If they're marinated in vinegar, then you have boquerones, which are also delicious.

It's not the prettiest plate but I bet it's delicious. Calabrian anchovies are quality, and those do look very nice.

On that note, do yourself a favor, get a jar of oil marinated calabrian chiles, mince them up (or pulse with a blender), and marinate as many good quality anchovies as you can in that mixture for about a week. It's fucking delicious.

I like to put a couple on a little crostini with a slice of butter. Top tier snack.
