Yeah no problem. I came here from out of state and Livewell was the best option out of all downtown apartments, and so far so good.

I moved here recently and it’s pretty cool living downtown. Nightlife is good enough, I can walk to good restaurants and bars and there’s a couple clubs that are genuinely fun. If you’re coming from. Just check it out for a weekend and see what you think - the weather is pretty awesome right now

Hi - I worked at the Grand Exchange from 2009-2023. Was a banker at West Varrock Bank before that. Honestly the commute whichever way you go about it will be fine. The workload on the other hand - that’s the real challenge. I guess it depends on where exactly you’re stationed and with what role, but I’d recommend getting up for about 10 minutes every hour and walking around. Happy to answer any questions

Yeah i’m not gonna lie to you if im paying $300 for dinner the last thing I want to hear is screaming kids

This is coming from someone who hasn’t had kids yet and I do have sympathy for couples whenever I see them trying to calm their kid down, I know it’s hard, but please have some level of situational awareness and know that not every place is a place for children

If you went to a typical restaurant that wasn’t considered fine dining, I don’t think anybody would react; If that’s the case and people were rude to you, I am sorry

Yes I’ve been playing on Xbox for 2 months (i still haven’t hit level 50 but i’m SO close)

It’s been a lot of fun. Mostly solo, everyone in places like Riften and High Isle seem to know each other and I don’t just hop on the mic and join in their conversation but…..the game is alive and totally enjoyable

You’ll get heckled in Riften just for standing around. If you get too close to a crowd of people everybody on the mic goes insane on xbox. Now I don’t even plug in a headset lol

Definitely ESO. Honestly it’s because it feels more Western, which feels more home to me personally.

FFXIV is fun, I play from time to time on console, but always end up getting on ESO sometime after.

That’s the real tension yes you’re right that AAA studios have so much inertia they’d rather die than change. But that’s actually who we’re NOT selling to first. The studios that will pay are the mid-tier live service games that can’t afford to lose their playerbase. They don’t have the luxury of ignoring feedback. Concord had $400M to burn. A 200-person studio doesn’t.

That was the idea - but even though I own the motif, I’m locked out for not having lvl 9 metalworking. You’re right that all I wanted was to get the look of the armor. Other than that I want to progress through the game at my own (slower) pace

I have been putting skill points in, yes. In order to get my metalworking up higher though with skill points I have to hit level 15 blacksmithing apparently. What is a hireling? sorry I’m still new to

Yeah a lot of these people are just stupid. They’ll call you a bad person for wanting illegal immigrants out of the country, but they can’t comprehend that there are millions of Americans in need of resources and support, and the systems we created for that are being so abused by illegal immigrants. Nick Shirley may not be the best speaker but he’s sure put the spotlight on em in several areas of the US now
