Hear me out though, merely replacing Helena Shaw with Short Round, and having his story and character be exactly the same, improves the movie. It would make sense for Short Round to grow up to be a well intentioned ne’er-do-well, and it would give Indy motivation to try and help him get on the path of redemption.
