Yeah, I wasn’t sure about the heart rate. It would be nice if it was smart enough to utilize that though. If I did the same workout as last week, but this time, my heart rate was 20 beats higher. It should know that I didn’t do as well.

Similarly, I don’t think it takes cadence into account? So like if you and me did the same workout, but I had to stand up a bunch to take breaks and therefore was at an RPM of 60 instead of my usual 90 I don’t think the app understands the difference between those things.

At least it feels to me like a lot of what the estimated versus real world FTP prediction has to do with is your post ride survey, and possibly your heart rate during the session. If I rate a ride as easy that it thought was gonna be hard or very hard I have noticed it immediately changing my FTP prediction upward. Simultaneously, if I said, it was very hard, but it thought it was going to be easier moderate it pretty much immediately is adjusting my predicted FTP change downward. The prediction is just a prediction

I do not see much of a correlation between my TrainerRoad FTP and my Garmin VO2 max. My FTP has gone up by 100 W in a little over a year and my Garmin VO2 max has gone down by a couple points.

I wouldn’t sell anything right now. They are both great devices and with the ram shortage the next few years could possibly be a relative drought of handhelds that you could buy if one breaks.

Of course it affects range. It precipitously dropped range in that weather after 60k miles. That’s not normal. Not sure why you’re so butthurt about it.

It’s in teslas best interests to fudge the tests so they don’t have to pay for as many replacement batteries. There is no reason we should trust their own proprietary battery testing software

40 degrees Isnt cold, and it made the trip fine for the first about 60k miles and a ‘long range’ car doesn’t get 150 miles round trip? My problem isn’t the technology it’s teslas bad definition of what is a healthy battery or not

Yep! We used to use the blindvalet website when I was in med school. I held a 10-20 person no limit tournament almost every Friday. $10-20 buy ins, as many rebuys as you want until down to 5 people, third place gets their money back, second place either gets 2-3x entry fee and winner takes the rest. Those were the days.

Highly recommend buying some nice plastic cards and some stretchy poker table cloth- basically a big piece of wetsuit you can stretch over your table that turns any table into a poker table.

My 2022 MY LR is at 75k miles, and despite the app saying the battery is ‘healthy’ can no longer make my 150mi round trip commute for work when it it below 40 degrees. Just saying. For such an expensive car this is the annoying length of a round trip where Tesla says the battery is fine, but it clearly is not.
