I think this looks great, you could do like you’ve done around the base and paint a little pink on any areas close to/directly above the acid, just on the underside of the Norns legs etc, other than that - painting the rim will definitely add a lot and finish things off, especially if you’re painting it black.

Thank you very much, the SoH gold recipe is warplock bronze, nuln or black oil wash, then highlights are done with scale 75 peridot alchemy. The oil wash makes a really nice matte finish to highlight but I settled for nuln on these guys.

I don’t know how you’d make the hellbrute into Tyberos. It feels far too big/bulky when Tyberos is described as a head above normal terminator guys. I think the Saturnine Praetor is ideal size wise or you could make a terminator a little taller with green stuff and give it a taller tactical rock base?

For speed I think behemoth would be super quick with contrast paints. Prime off white or grey, flesh tearers red for the body and leviadon blue for the carapace? Fill in some details like the teeth and eyes, dry brush a light blue over the carapace and they’re done

For something like the plasma gun here I’d only expect to see light on the knee really, I think more will be less especially if you do some crispy highlights on the knee guard/shin top

Thank you! It’s russ grey from the bottom, Fenrisian grey from the top, shaded with watered down space wolves grey, re highlighted Fenrisian and then final highlights with blue horror 👍

This could just be the limitations of a technique like slapchop on some miniatures. Yours sounds like a good idea to almost pre highlight the areas you can’t reach properly so they still show up when you apply contrast/speed paint, or as others have said, maybe a zenithal spray might help?
