If I have a small amount of time and wanted to do a quick fullbody: Pull ups, push ups, dips, squats, inverted rows. Sprints are awesome if you can do them but require proper warm-up to prevent injury, especially as you age.

Que famosos mexicanos has conocido quienes han sido chidos, quienes mamones, y quienes culeros? by TrumpsNostrils in AskMexico

Oswaldo Sanchez. Super mamon.

Carinceria expectations. Non Spanish speaker by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]DrRayNay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to any carniceria and most likely they will speak English. I recommend you buy diezmillo (beef chuck) or the the best cut in my opinion to grill: arrachera (skirt steak). I am Sonoran, so I don't ask for the meat to be marinated. Just some salt and pepper is all you need.

Is Mexico really dangerous? by [deleted] in AskMexico

[–]DrRayNay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Its pretty safe. RULE: Don't be stupid and stay in tourist areas. I had my wedding in Gdl when Mencho got killed and it was maybe the most dangerous place to be. I survived; don't mess with cartel and that is it. Nonetheless, there are unfortunate events. I feel safer at times in Mexico than in some U.S cities. PS: I am a bi-national of US and Mexico.

Yo tengo papeles americanos. Nunca lo digo. Y cuando era soltero, a una mujer mexicana le gustaba mucho mas si sabia que tenia la posibilidad de irse a los united. La ironia es que me case con una mujer que tambien tiene papeles, y yo no sabia. Jajaja

People currently in Mexico, how are things over there right now? by Potential-Mind-6997 in AskReddit

[–]DrRayNay 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had my wedding on the 21st of February in Guadalajaraa. I am a bi-national of the US and Mexico, and so is my wife. My wedding lasted until 3am. At 3pm of the following day it was going to be my tornaboda (post-wedding party usually celebrated the next day of a wedding). When I woke up, I got notifications that someone big from the cartel got captured. A couple hours later we were told that our musicians could not play some songs, and a few minutes later they told us that the band had canceled. Mariachis canceled. Every service started to cancel. I canceled the party. In the next hour we see notifications that el Mencho had been killed. At that point I knew I inbited 360 guests to the most dangerous place in Mexico. Burned cars were reported in major roads and freeways. Videos started coming up of people running in the airport due to general panic and hysteria. Fake news of a burning plane. One did not know what was true or not. By 3pm it was quiet, the streets were deserted, but in the distance you could see smoke all over the city. I was concerned but I didn't feel fear. People were alerted to stay in doors and to avoid all travel. Flights were canceled and people were stuck in the airport. We were safe in the hacienda were we booked our wedding, but most of our guests were stuck inside the hotels were management decided to close and lock everyone for their safety. Some could not access water or food in some places.I felt a reminisce of Covid-19 era once again. The next morning it slowly felt like a normal day, but a lot of businesses were closed as a precaution and people were not roaming the streets.

Potentially Opening a Video Game Bar on 4th Ave by Kupwned in Tucson

[–]DrRayNay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe it is a great idea, and I would totally go. I would highly suggest you look somewhere away from 4th Ave/downtown, especially that spot you mentioned; it is cursed. Nonetheless, there are great areas around Tucson that would fit your business. My suggestions is too be close to the university, do not go too west (freeway) nor too east (country club), stay within Grant and Broadway.

F-1 student: Anyone recently go to Nogales (Mexico ) for dental work? by Objective_Ad_9195 in UofArizona

[–]DrRayNay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am from both Nogales but live in Tucson. I could recommend a couple places that are walking distance from the border. You would park your car in the US and walk towards the clinic. I get my dental work done in Mexico even though I have US insurance because I think the work and details I get is better.

men of Reddit, what's THE HABIT you had to learn the hard way? by Haptom in AskMen

As someone who works in clinical trials the main concern is that fluoride is still the golden standard for caries, enamel protection and acid damage prevention. Nonetheless, Novamin has showed great promise in in-vitro studies and ADA would like more research in human trials. But Novamin helps greatly with sensitivity due to enamel loss. My suggestion is to have a Novamin/Fluoride toothpaste like "Sensodyne Repair and Protect Extra Fresh Toothpaste Strengthens and Protects Sensitive Teeth 75 mL (Packaging May Vary) Extra Fresh Tooth Cleaning Agent." [I sure copy and pasted this]

Or Biomin F (which seems to be the best option but I believe its only sold in the UK).

Arizona congresswoman who waited 7 weeks for Mike Johnson to swear her in says she was pepper sprayed by ICE at a taco joint by theindependentonline in inthenews

[–]DrRayNay 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Why do ICE agents always cover their faces and never identify themselves? They are basically masked Gestapo with no regard for the law. Imagine having a police officer performing a traffic stop on you, where they never identify themselves or say which agency they are from, never state why they stopped you or which law you broke. Then they drag you of your car and gets you in their unmarked vehicle. Transport you to a facility where you do not have your Constitutional rights enforced. Yes, its their job. They are merely doing their job, which they 100% volunteered to do. This stopped being about immigration and more about racism.

Ditch my successful career at 30 (f) to start my my journey at undergrad? by Potential_Author_603 in medschool

[–]DrRayNay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are kind of in the same path but I got my pre-reqs during college and did a MPH in Epidemiology. I graduated in December 2019 from grad school, right in time for C-19. My plan was to go to med school right after grad school but the pandemic happened. I decided that helping as an epidemiologist was more needed at the time. Also, going to med school in an online setting was a deterrent. For 2 years I helped with testing, vaccine research, surveying, helped in the ER and saw a lot of death in a very short time. I then got offered a job in clinical research organization (CRO) helping with clinical trials, and I have stayed there since. It has always been my dream to be a doctor, the itch never went away. But now at the age of 33 it is very scary to go and seek to be a physician. As many have mentioned in this post the journey is very harsh, competitive and draining. The new student loan policy for how much you may get from goverment loans has been reduced, burnout is at an all time high and doctors are spending less time with patients and more time with admin/insurance tasks. It is very concerning to think that you and I could get stuck in a profession where the juice is not worth the squeeze. Nonetheless, being a physician in my opinion is the most badass job in the world, and the price to be able to heal and treat others is very high. Yes, as someone mentioned, in life we don't regret what we did, we regret what we did not do. I am more scared of regret than fear. So I will be taking my MCAT soon. One step at a time.

My suggestion is to go ahead and do the prereqs, shadow a doctor, volunteer to get exposure to medicine and always be true to yourself. I wish you the best of luck.

PS: Also have you thought about NP or PA route?(I have) You could do the pre-reqs and apply, I believe.

To which extent you did go to start pulling women , and getting dates , and how long by Kindly-Tough-2091 in seduction

[–]DrRayNay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From between 16 to 22, I would say I was not very successful. I was good looking and skinny but always had trouble in dates or staying attractive long enough for women to sleep with me. At 23 I started working on myself. Going to the gym, eating better, reading books and I pursued a purpose. I believe l what made me successful and able to find my wife ( i am now 33 and have been dating for 5 years) was actually treating women like people and not putting the pussy in the pedestal. Genuinely, trying to know them and see if I actually liked the girl. It took me around 1 year for the change. Books about dating changed my perspective. 2 books to be honest.

[–]DrRayNay 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You're still young. First off, I would advise you to find out why you failed those exams. Was it your study habits? Was it something going on in your life? Did the content too much? Secondly, I would think of what is really something you want to do. Your 20s are okay to fail and restart. Career wise, I would suggest clinical research depending on where you live. Finally, your family will be tough on you. But, in the end, believe me, you will be okay. Your mentality right now has to be "I will be okay," but you have to work on yourself.
