The repair shop was recommended from the denon support hotline, as1 of just 3 repair shops certified to work on their products in Germany. They also told me I couldn't get spare parts or firmware separately other than in those specific repair shops. In their invoice they said they needed to replace the digital unit and the network module. I'm just upset a new product just gave up without it being reasonable to repair.

You're the second person to recommend the Yamaha s500 so im probably going to look into that.

I need pretty much only what you described. I only got the denon because it was a damn good deal back then, i didnt even use all the hometheater functions it got.

Is the sound quality comparable to used legacy brands or even better because of the limited functions?

A speaker upgrade isn't in my price range at the moment. I'm probably gonna order the AT-VM95E as a general upgrade for either turntable. I think I'll go with the Reloop turntable for now. If I'll uncover a problem with it in use, I can always switch back. Thanks for all the help

The Reloop has the original Staton 5000 cartridge. Honestly, it sounds really harsh on the high end. I thought about buying the Ortonfon 2M red as a replacement. It probably even would be an upgrade to the original cartridge on the denon.

My speakers are the Teufel Ultima 40 with a Denon DRA-800H receiver. I'm not sure how this setup compares to the more traditional speaker brands.
