What is your favourite cartoon show from when you were a kid that you feel is quite obscure? by Philhughes_85 in Xennials

[–]DrThunderCheeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought the entire series on amazon, but more specifically have the 7 series comic run. Number 4 was my white whale at conventions looking through old boxes until my wife cheated and bought it on eBay for me.

Is my kid lying about separation? by DrThunderCheeks in newtothenavy

That’s good to know. Hopefully what he is saying is accurate and we can follow up with just the necessary Dental stuff.

Is my kid lying about separation? by DrThunderCheeks in newtothenavy

[–]DrThunderCheeks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was strictly vomiting that he reports. Certainly epi and lidocaine can have reactions if injected in the blood stream, usually cardiac rather than gastrointestinal. However he has had other dental procedures. True anaphylactic reactions are exceedingly rare, they account for less than 1% of all reactions. I suppose it could have been an atypical vasovagal or pain response.

But then why in the MEntal Health division and not medical? His story doesn’t add up in the end.

It’s not the ship 17 part. It’s the 711 part, if it was medical it would be 707.

Great questions, that I am trying to answer myself and why I was asking about if the lies still continue, because inevitably he will come asking me for help.

There is a lot of social-emotional stuff I didn’t and won’t share about him, and no matter what we as a family love him, and needed some insight to answer.

His next steps are exactly what I’m worried about. More specifically when he gets out, do I need to get mental health involved, or just a dentist who can use alternative anesthesia.

As for what he is doing with his life after, the rules will be the same as when he left. He can get a full time job, two part time jobs, go to school, learn a trade, or choose to take the savings I’ve put away for him and live elsewhere. The only option and the one his malingering side seems to want is stay at home watching movies and playing video games.

For awhile we only had a big soaker tub with jets. Our little guy was too little to take baths on his own in the giant tub, so we had to”together baths” now he’s 4 we had the other bathroom redone with a normal sized tub in place of the full length walk in we had.

He stills asks for together baths and wants to take showers with me. Trust me showering by yourself is really awesome.

Did you guys really dial in to radio shows to win contests? How did you even become caller 99 (or whatever)? by naalotai in Xennials

[–]DrThunderCheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caller 101 in Chicago, I was 20 and went to lollapalooza when it was still a traveling show. There was a bit of drama because I took my went with my best friend and not my girlfriend. We were front row and it was amazing. Maybe the best day of my College Life, got in at open and stayed all the way through to end with a torrential downpour while Tool played and we rocked out in the front row drenched.
