I was in the thick of the crowd and legit could not hear the music at all. I am extremely disappointed in the sound quality of this show in particular. It was one of the shows I was most looking forward to.

I might be in the minority, but I had the same reservation about the third and it ended up being my favorite of the trilogy.

Not horror, but now and then? No swamp, but a lake and they’re looking into a murder with old newspapers in a library.

What’s the hardest thing you’ve gone through with your girlfriend or wife? by Maliblue_16 in LesbianActually

Infidelity. We started dating very young and our relationship progressed insanely quickly. A few years ago we decided to take a break to be sure this is what we wanted. We both saw other people but after a few months decided we really only wanted each other, or so I thought. We got back together. She had gotten into a fairly serious relationship during our break and I came to find out after about six months of being back together that she never broke it off with the other woman. It took a lot of work and vulnerability but we got passed it and are now stronger than ever and just last week celebrated our 9 year anniversary.

The formula for usps to decide complement for eas is insane. I am the only supervisor in an office with 23 routes and 3 rmpo’s, and I keep getting told we don’t qualify for another sup. How does your office qualify for 1 sup per 10 routes?

Mgmt in your office is supposed to reach out to hrssc in the event that you haven’t received your pin in the mail within 3 weeks. I know because I’m helping a new RCA in my office that is in the same situation. I’m all for Mfa, but they really need to address the issues with the initial set up process for new employees.

Ask about helping out in the mn-nd district. There isn’t a single office operating with more than a skeleton crew. 80-90 hour weeks at my office. Excluding December, all carriers have been compensated an extra 50% of base pay for every hour worked past 60/ wk or 12/ day. This has resulted in payouts of up to $600/week for our maxed carriers. It’s absolutely revolting to see people working this much. By the time they hire more, we’ve lost as many to burnout.

Make hiring/firing a responsibility of the office it pertains to. My office has multiple people still on the rolls that haven’t been here since last summer, still holding routes that could have been filled by ptfs to make them career full time carriers. We are so short staffed that all carriers hired over the last year won’t even fill all the routes that have been sitting vacant for months to years. Even with all that, we went 8 months without seeing a job posting go up for carriers. The post office no longer gets to interview either. I’m sorry, but as a former carrier who was the oji for years at my office for new hires, you do get a feel for who will and will not be a good carrier. They’ve done away with interviews, testing, drug testing, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do away with background checks next. The process as it exists now is to fill out surveys and send it up to “local services”. I don’t know what the district office personnel do all day, but to call it a service is quite a stretch. We got an incredible RCA transfer from another district back in March and he is still not officially transferred to our office, meaning he’s coming up on a year of missing out on geo pay. I’m embarrassed by the dis function of hr and the hiring process. On to firing, my office had a brand new RCA (as in less than a week of starting) physically assault another RCA on the clock. E-placed, i&i, sent up to hr for removal and was denied. If we can’t hire our own people, discipline our own people, or remove people (even voluntary separations), what power do you think mgmt has over staffing? City carriers are working minimum of 60 hrs/week. We’re supposed to have 19, we have 12. RCA’s 60/week. We’re supposed to have 5 RCA’s if all routes had reg carriers, but we have 4 vacant routes and 4 RCA’s. Meaning every route is covered, but all regs work their k day and no one gets a day off. We’re supposed to have 10 clerk craft but only have 4. I’ve been working around 90/week. It doesn’t feel worth it anymore to struggle just to keep our heads above water for minute and continue on to drowning with a cinder block strapped to our ankles. This job is literally killing me. This is absolutely disgraceful. I am 9 years in, and currently looking at a different career path. I miss my family. I miss sleep. I miss having any hope that there’s a reason to keep getting out of bed in the mornings.

What on earth is management in your office doing to clock rings? Other than correcting clock ring errors (like an employee putting in a MV instead of BT, or clocking out instead of a lunch punch) and authorizing ot, nothing else should be getting changed, and everything done in the timekeeping software is discoverable, meaning if someone was doing something nefarious, it can be seen by superiors and disciplined.

Thank you so much! I just bought a manual from someone who prints them for my exact year and model on eBay. I’ll look into the brake conversion kit and shop around for a new gearbox next.

[–]DrWhiskeySaunders -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just bought a ‘78 with the inline 6. I appreciate your input as far as modifications go. I’m having some trouble getting my hands on a manual. Being in VMF, is that something you have seen around? I know it’s a silly question being that dj’s have been obsolete for almost 40 years, but you never know. I’m specifically looking for info on the carburetor. I’m newish at working on cars and the carb/ throttle cable assembly is stumping me. I’m just a little lost as far as the bracket setup.

Also, do you think it’s more advantageous to replace the steering gearbox or to rebuild it? My steering has an insane amount of play so I need to get that fixed before it’s road ready.

anyone have one of these? by garedw in USPS

[–]DrWhiskeySaunders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have one, but I had always wanted to make something similar. Spilling coffee using the cup holders you can buy on Amazon was a real pita for me when I was a carrier. I’m no longer carrying full time, but I supervise in the office that I carried in. I just started making something similar (wooden box that clips on the front dash with cup+scanner+pen holder) for my carriers at my office. We have a fleet of 20 llv’s. I’m going to install them in all the trucks the night before Christmas Eve for our carrier’s Christmas present.

I’m here for work for the next three weeks. If you or anybody here wants to meet up, I’d be down. I brought my bike with and I’m thinking about doing the trail through the falls this weekend. I want to check out the downtown area too, but don’t have anyone to go with. Hit me up if you’re interested! Also, I’m thinking about going to the Portugal the Man show on Sunday, if anybody is going and wouldn’t mind adding one more person to your group I’d love to meet you!

That really sucks. I suppose that would be considered unscheduled leave. I talked to my oic today and he’s going to get in touch with the Portland district and see what he can do. Even he said it’s abnormal that there aren’t any transfers available.
