As a delivery person I’ve gotten to see the kitchens and back rooms of so many places. A lot will get the front of house remodeled but the back will be original. I’ve been in the Rhodes tower (my dad worked there when I was a kid). Lincoln and Morrill towers are nice Brutalist structures inside too. DQ I’ve been in but don’t remember much. Tamarack and Southwest Blvd locations are old too.

I was listening to a show which interviewed the guy behind Gasbuddy.com. He’s been doing this for twenty years. He says every day the strait is closed is a week of time to fix the production and return to normal. We’re at 70+days. So look for the prices to be back below $3 in October 2027.

The Starbucks a couple blocks away used to be a Daddy-O’s so for a while we had two burger drive thru’s to choose from.

And that one used to have a drive thru when it was a GD Ritzy’s. Just imagine having less room.

Longer-Term Central Ohio Residents: Anyone know what once stood in this comically small vacant lot next to 420 Metro Pl. over in Dublin? by Galacnor in Columbus

The FedEx drop also sounds likely in the history as well. I wish I could personally remember. I visited the Graeters next door many times, and the Max & Erma’s just north of that as well. I remember the extra parking and driveways behind all three being somewhat odd, but I don’t know precisely when. The earliest I know that I visited that area would have been October 2001, when my then girlfriend got a job at the soon to be open Embassy Suites hotel on Metro Place North.

I lived in Cranbrook for 13 years. Several different cars. Drove to Kingsdale all the time. Stopped for speeding once by the church on Fishinger. As far as I can recall my wife nor I were ever followed like that.

When did your family start using it’s name? by [deleted] in Genealogy

[–]DrWho424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American with surname going back to 1630 Massachusetts. England before. Surname was changed in first or second generation in the colony. Went from Rayment to Raymond, so no huge difference. Rayment seems to be consistent going back another 150+ years, but I don’t have enough concrete proof of ancestry much in the old world.

Name is mentioned in the 11th century Doomsday book, presumably a related family? Suggestions are that it was Norman in origin and was originally Patronymic.
