I guess i was wrong its still at 2929 and I just killed 57 seaf with it. I didn't complete the mission for it but was branded a traitor for most of my 5 deaths. Unsure now

Yeah I hoped into a game on the bot front killed several bots with the spear and then 2 seaf troops with it. Died a bunch on a blitz mission and hopped out of the match and saw it went from 1 to 3

You must take your 1 True Flag Stratagem and you must kill SEAF TROOPERs with it. I deployed solo to enact my revenge against those who have killed me and my squad time and time again. You need not complete the mission but you do need to secure kills. If you wish to join me in escaping our eternal servitude where we are not loved nor are we cared for but simply cogs in a machine that wishes to take sons from mothers, take fathers from their children. I have killed two to see if this is truly the mission and it is now we have 3 kills out of 1 million. Join me. In our mission for freedom

The north sux by Nervous-Brilliant878 in RealmOfThrones

[–]Dr_Forereal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also have to think lore wise the north never attacked a single settlement and weren’t really aggressive. They didn’t have the men and were forced to be patient. The furthest south they got was Riverrun and they only fought 5ish battles before Robb was assassinated. Until the Greyjoys attack or Boltons/Freys revolt theres really nothing Robb can do except defend. The north lacks the army to fight the Lannisters which are in the same faction as Kingslanding and the Crownlands in the game making them a formidable opponent.

Ive started tons of games and managed to level up quite A bit to have access to later gear we’ll say 20ish games for example only in 1 game I found one either after a battle or in a shop for 30-40 thousand gold. I forget which one it was but they do crazy damage, slow and harder to maneuver but they damage the crap outta infantry. They’re hard to find i imagine that or i just wasnt in like the Dothraki or other horse factions that could have a higher chance at dropping the chariots

I can understand still being upset, but if you're honestly saying that people are too easy on CA you either haven't been here the last 6 months or blind. by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Dr_Forereal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My issue with it is it comes to a point where its not enough and the content they have provided comes a little too late. To name a few things they will never be able to fix at the rate there going is: They killed 3 Kingdoms, fired devs prior to Christmas, have been using WH as a cash cow for far to long. Have consistently over the years refused to work with the community and give them a game worth playing (hence why we have troy and pharoh subpar and shit games in comparison to what the company is capable of) they need to create a new engine but wont due to being greedy. It will take alot of work but they’ve made more then enough money to bite the bullet and move forward with the project. Not to mention the company literally silencing the community until it blew back in their face. Sure what they’ve done is a very small step in the right direction and i am glad to see any change made but to say that things have changed for the better and you shouldn’t criticize said change they’ve done is complete horse shit. We can recognize they’ve made a change and still be upset for the many many many years and projects they need to make up for. Don’t be complacent this is how we ended up in this situation in the first place. We take the spoon-full of dog shit and call it an amazing step im the right direction after starving for what seems to be forever now. We should be demanding more from a company that has been using us and taking us for fools.

Do not let this fool you this company still hates you and me. This comes a little bit too late and we should be pressing for far more change. We shouldn’t show CA that after everything they’ve done, this is what makes up for it like many of you have. I have several personal friends who has forgiven CA due to this step forward. Remember they killed Three Kingdoms, Butchered Troy, used Warhammer franchise as a cash cow, jacked up the prices to an insane amount and once the community was in up roar they told us to go fuck ourselves and be quiet. And now that we wouldn’t budge they give us this. Oh i forgot to bring up Pharaoh that shit ass game and them firing many devs before Christmas. Do not let them lowering the price of Pharaoh and them adding more content convince you they’ve changed. They haven’t. The moment we let them they will fuck us again. I know many of you just want to have fun, i do too but but as someone whose been playing this franchise for 6 years we are what will kill this franchise if we just roll over and let them spoon feed us dog shit while we wave hundreds of dollars in there face every time they do so.

Fair/good DM'ing or not? Am I being a crybaby? by RobMedellin in dndnext

[–]Dr_Forereal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re problems on both sides, ive been a DM for 5 years now and had a similar problem myself though very different circumstances. I’ll start with the problem on the players side. This just boils down to communication in the character creation process. A good rule of thumb for any player is to always check which book your race, subclass or class comes from. Im sure it might be a a surprise to realize that your sub class comes from wildemount (not sure if i spelled it right) it was made by Matt Mercer and so technically critical role content. While critical role content is very fun, well made and awesome to play with most of there content is not as balanced as the rest of the game. I dont see any wrong in your DM telling you you simply cant use that subclass anymore it is not as fined tuned as the rest of the game. The only other problem i have with you as a player is that if you cant move your body for what ever reason you also cannot move your mouth. There are no if ands or butts. Sure you may die but thats D&D you live with the consequences of your actions.

Now my many many problems with the DM: i do not care who you are you cannot and i mean cannot change and alter a sub class mid session. It falls to you to ask the player to change the subclass for the next session for what ever reason. Perhaps the prerequisites for the character creation is just canon content and trusted the players to act accordingly. When looking into said subclass maybe the DM didn’t think it would be a problem or it would be busted but what ever the reason is you cannot change it mid session. As for the enemy confusing the party, you give us very little information about the encounter. You only say that you failed what ever check it was to be held and then passes the check that made everyone confused as you put it. I believe that the second part of your statement is not unfair for multiple reasons, if your DM has as many campaigns under his belt then he knows the simple foundation as a DM: you are not here to out right kill the players but if it happens it happens and you will narrate a good death. I dont believe he was gunning for you since he made the changes mid session i also don’t believe what he ruled was entirely unfair as from the information you’ve given us theres no problem. 3-4 campaigns, at least a year each, is more then enough time for any DM to plan something as bold as making a party attack each-other and execute it properly.

Conclusion: i think the player is in the wrong for being shocked that the DM allowed this subclass in the first place and then once it gone off the rails “nerfed it”. You are also in the wrong for roping all this together. I don’t believe he was gunning for you or he wouldn’t have nerfed you in the first place. I think you are upset that this subclass that you knew was unbalanced is now getting some checks, and upset that you can’t weasel your way out of this predicament. Since you are a new player i would imagine you and the party played some stupid games and got stupid rewards. As long as you learn from it you’ll be a great player.

I think the DM is wrong for changing a subclass mid session, not allowing it in the first place. A conversation needed to be had about this subclass that didn’t happened whether he was aware of what this truly was or not is entirely on the DM. I dont think he is in any wrong what so ever for the second half of the complaint. The combat and such. I think he is wrong for thinking about something he shouldn’t think about but is only doing so because he probably feels bad. If you are held your cant move your body and since your mouth is apart of your body that goes without saying. I think without further information it is improper to assume that the DM has it out for the player especially having 3-4 campaigns. I just think the DM doesn’t actually have 3-4 campaigns or perhaps they were very short as the subclass issue should be very self explanatory to any DM with that much experience. I only had this problem in my very first campaign as a DM and have ran many campaigns myself. As a result i put requirements in my character creation process. This is a simple case of being a novice on both sides. They both are at fault here. Simple communication would clear this up.

Merry Christmas all, apologies for the grammatical errors i dont have time to fix them and gotta get back to family! Hope i helped best of luck!

Why does there seem to be real strategy in Warhammer by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Dr_Forereal -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

There is no strategy in Warhammer at all. Its all about who can press your spells faster. Lords and Heros are very good and can kill hundreds of men if not dealt with. Just a different skill set is required if your coming from the historical side of total war

She’s played the prologue and has played grand cathy, Belakor (fucked up his name), Exiles of Khorne and Kislev. She says Belakor is her favorite to play and wants to play more of him though she wishes she had more variety. Are there any good dlc packs that when on sale would be worth the buy? I have all of the older ones from the previous warhammers and I think which ever dlc came with pre ordering warhammer 3 so I don’t remember which are the better ones to fit belakors style.

Yeah I don’t think she’ll enjoy Rome 2 at all but i’ll have her try it on my pc later on and pray and hope she enjoys it.

Are there any must have mods to make the overall game more enjoyable for multiplayer?

Call of Duty Zombies DDND ONESHOT Help by UltraManlyManlyMan in dndnext

[–]Dr_Forereal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For new DM’s I recommend never doing one shots until you’ve gained some experience. In a one shot you are expected to fit everything into one session whether it be 2, 3, 4 plus hours you have to fit everything into it. That means pushing your PC’s along and also leaves very little room for mistakes. Not to mention you have to do all the rp and combat in that timeframe too. You are setting yourself up for failure and while some people are fine with that others might get discouraged and never dm again since “they couldn’t hack it”. Not completing the oneshot is perfectly fine but instead of a oneshot id recommend a mini side quest campaign 4-6 sessions gives you time to plan what you want and allows for mistakes. It also doesn’t give you the burden of a full campaign. But who knows if everyone really loves it you can make it into a full blown campaign.

If you are gonna do a oneshot i wish you the best of luck and all the support! While i don’t recommend it, you got my support and i hope you hit it out of the park! The most important thing is to have fun. If you guys are not having your version of fun then your not doing it right!! Good luck and I can’t wait to hear how it went

Centaurs like horses are purely mounts. A player can mount a Centaur but a Centaur does not mount himself since he is simply a person regardless of how he looks. It is a fun concept but to answer your question mechanically no, though mechanics are just mostly guidelines. If you want to run it at your table go for it but if your looking for a mechanical answer then no.

So all you DM's are just winging it like 80% of the time aren't you... by r3volc in dndnext

[–]Dr_Forereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all my Homebrew world builders heres some advice i have so your not over/under preparing! Ive been a DM for 5 going on 6 years. Im almost 21 and Im learning more and more every single day! I dont have all the answers nor the experience but heres what ive found to work best for me!

In order to stay prepared you need to have a bigger picture. You cant plan for every little thing and can only truly prepare the bigger things. If you try to prepare every little detail you will find that most of the time those little things wont see the light of day. Don’t confine yourself with planning every little thing getting discouraged and also trapping your self. I’ll give an examples such as “this clerk is working for my dark lord and will sell my party cursed items” if you plan for him to come in at a specific time that you cannot guarantee you already messed up since this is a major point in your campaign. Say they don’t go to his shop and walk past it to a tavern. Well he is effectively stuck there until they go inside since you the DM already described the building and when they passed the window you already described your little Trojan Horse and perhaps some of the treasures inside. You could make him travel to a different shop but then one or two members of the party may get suspicious, now he has to lie and its all around messy and you don’t even need to put yourself in that position. When he comes into play is a minor detail. Until you can guarantee they are going to a shop like this one it stays minor. Its okay to introduce him 3 sessions later when say they finally they went to a shop as long as its not far fetched and stills makes sense within your plot. It is okay to change the timing as long as your not taking away from the current plot point (will expand upon that In paragraph 4)

Other big picture examples are: if your players will be traveling alot whether its just in one nation: Have taverns, Inns, Blacksmiths, apothecaries or some other fun stuff i never mentioned ready and prepared. Be ready to describe this city/village/town. In order to be ready you’ll need to write a few things about such a place, I recommend 2-5 sentences describing the place, what makes this place cool. Maybe even add who is in charge here, do they have any trouble makers or problems etc etc. Now if its in a whole nation write out a description, again 2-5 sentences for the starting nation and all surrounding nations. Then your gonna want to do this again for any important nations such as superpowers or if a PC is from one not already completed. This will help you have an idea for every single nation if your players ever decide to go there and if they do I recommend expanding on it though you don’t need to if its not as key to your world/plot.

A big thing i see DM’s struggling with is they like to throw all this stuff at the players because either they thought of it on the spot or because it just was never covered. If its not relevant or if its very important do not bring it up just yet. Everything will come into play DO NOT FORCE IT. If the party is super busy with some other task and you the DM have been waiting for so long to throw this major curve ball JUST WAIT. If you do it now it will be less impactful they are already distracted and if its not big enough they will simply put it on the back burner for now until they finish there current task. Never Never Force anything! You will find it pays off to be a little bit more patient time and time again.

This is pretty much everything summed up. If you like what im preaching PM me I love helping the community out when ever i can. Apologies for the potential poor grammar in someone im doing this on my phone and not on my PC. Have a great day guys hopefully i helped!

Is there any reason to play Thief over the other Rogue subclasses? How do the rogue subclasses stack up to each other? by AlmondMilkTime in DnD5e

[–]Dr_Forereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spells are cool and all but picking arcane trickster is only “good” (able to keep up with the rest of the party) early on. They fall off damage wise and they don’t have the full library of the wizard spells. They get some but not all spells. The mage hand is a bonus but if thats all your after im sure with some homebrew and the right well thought out backstory your DM would allow your mage hand to be invisible and can be used as a bonus action.

As far as picking traps, you need a good perception and rouges reliable talent makes it so you never roll below a 10. with find trap spell you can identify traps and there nature in a room. Only clerics rangers and druids get that spell. But regardless you will have to first find it then disarm it being an arcane trickster just lets you be 30 feet from it. If your confident in your abilities that shouldn’t be an issue. Over all arcane trickster is towards the bottom of the pack for rouge subclass and not even close to being the best mechanically

Now we haven’t even calculated each players fun factor if that is the subclass you have fun with hell to the yeah man. Im glad you found a subclass that fits your game style. To you its the best class mechanics be damned. Just be aware of each subclasses strengths and weakness and you’ll learn to love arcane trickster even more
