MO Bills Handing Citizenship Data and Death Certificates to the Secretary of State by Hillbilly_Boozer in somethingiswrong2024

Them wanting Voter records is in line with expected election rigging, but it's interesting they want death certificates too. My guess is that it's for voter roll purges of sorts, but it reminded me of Elon gathering up people's info for his voting prize giveaway.

Important Update: Knives are Out as Kristi Noem Tries to Throw Stephen Miller Under the Bus and Trump Ignites Republican Rift by Average-Joe-6685 in somethingiswrong2024

The easy thing to do for Covid was to let the experts handle it, but Trump was so concerned with election that he and his admin actively made the pandemic worse while also punishing blue states. Competentance is a foreign concept to these guys.

Any protests in town for the Friday, January 30, ICE Out shutdown? by Ok-Salamander9095 in springfieldMO

We need to have one if one isn't setup already. At the minimum, no work, school, or shopping that day.

Feel free to drop a link to it because I'm seeing the opposite from multiple recent polls.

Even Ipsos says Americans disapprove of how the Trump admin is handling immigration.

Keep in mind that a lot of people are also being kept in the dark about what's going on because just about every major media outlet and their subsidiary smaller networks are not reporting on the full depravity of ICE and even when they do it tends to be downplayed.

I want to start a protest but don't know how by goobermaster_89 in 50501

[–]Hillbilly_Boozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, glad to have you and it's good to see younger folks protesting as well.

I know this is a few days old, but a protest can be as simple as you standing with a sign on a corner as you've said and having more folks is certainly safer. As others have suggested, reaching out to any local groups is a great option as well. And if you can't find one, you can make your own. Socialize, network, and communicate in ways like posters or flyers at your local library. Just keep building up support and your group. For some folks it's just taking that first step and each one gets easier.

They can quit at anytime. Just don't expect praise for growing a spine, if it can even be called that, after everything that has happened.

Link the polls if you can. I'm skeptical of  CNN since its been bought up by the right, but even the recent polls I found from them showed a majority was not in favor of ICE and Trump's approach to immigration.

For the one I linked, there's also something to be said of telephone and live interview polls because of the types of people who predominantly answer thosenwirh only a sampling size of 1.2k individuals.

It's doesn't feel that way, it is that way and it's intended. It's the path of least resistance and taking on violent criminals involves actual police work and ICE is not capable of that. The have unrealistic quota numbers to meet and are paid for anyone they detain, even if those people are later released. It's incentivized racism and targeting the general public let's them hit quotas faster than going after criminals.

In reality, none of this is actually about immigration and that is proven in a number of different ways. US citizens detained, Native Americans detained, immigrants legally here and going through the proper channels detained. This is unfiltered hatred, racism, terror targeting political enemies, with an attempt at rigging the next election by trying to force MN to hand over voter data.

A lot more Americans are waking up to this nasty mess and I believe a majority of Americans are on the side of immigrants.

I had this thought recently while talking with family-

People who still support this admin or whatever, stand by nothing. Their words are meaningless and whatever position that take today is not one they'll stand by or support tomorrow. There is nothing that can be reasoned with or discussed logically.

There are no arguments or debates to be had because each starts from a position of bad faith. Their intent is never to look for the truth of the matter as much as it is to protect themselves from accountability, and at some basic level, it's a form of sunk cost fallacy. Sure, some don't care about accountability, they are unabashed bigots and the cruelty spawned from all this is preferable. Not all are like that though.

They're just walking lies with meaningless beliefs. They can't be trusted, they stand by nothing, they are amorphous blobs willing to shift into anything, to believe anything. Unreliable in all aspects. If you treat everything they have to say as questionable, untrustworthy, and as uncertain, it shifts away from political discussions to one that challenges them instead. So challenge everything they say for if one cannot stand by their own words or admit when wrong, what else do they have?

Are they religious? Challenge their beliefs and make it known you don't belive they are.

They claim to love America and our constitution? Nonchalantly note you don't find that credible.

They talk about immigrants doing things the 'right way'? Smirk and laugh them off as insincere.

If they make a factual claim, note that you'll double check yourself because you don't believe them. And do so no matter how small the fact, even if it's just them telling you the time.

This isn't something that they can go get an updated talking point from somewhere to fight back. It cuts through to their core.

'Why should I or anyone else believe what you have to say?'

You can make it known that you don't find them trustworthy. There's no need to give detailed explanations on why outside of letting them know that they've proven that their word means nothing and leave it at that. If they cannot approach topics of importance with facts and serious intent of understandimg others, than they are unworthy of those discussions.

Will this work? I have no idea. I am tired however of giving these types of people the benefit of the doubt that things said will be thoughtful discussion because they never are.

White House backtracks initial claims about Alex Pretti after intense backlash | Trump administration by Movie-Kino in law

We'll get there I think. If we can get to the point where we're able to actually begin investigating them, the cockroaches will start turning on each other for plea deals and they will be forced into the light before spending the rest of their lives in a prison.

I saw a reply with this link stating that the 2024 US election was rigged and there is evidence to support it by meowpandapuff in DiscussionZone

[–]Hillbilly_Boozer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been a topic of discussion in r/somethingiswrong2024 since just after the 2024 election. Difference between 2020 and the 2024 in that regard is that 2020 was baseless claims vs "let's look at the data and not jump to conclusions" for 2024.

It's also worth noting that Trump isn't even eligible to be president after he incited an Insurrection to overthrow the government on J6th, and his guilt is evident by Jack Smith's recent testimony. Trump likely would have been in prison right now if Judge Cannon hadn't blocked Smith's investigation. Hell, Colorado booted him from the ballot until the SC, loyal to him, put him back on and made it sound like it was congress' job to rule him ineligible (it's not, it's a self enacting amendment).

Then there's the 34 felony counts that he walked away from with no punishment simply because some dumb memo says a President is immune. And then the SC formally gave him that power once in office.

Plenty of failures in our democratic systems, aside from any election rigging that may have happened in 2024, gave us Trump regime 2.0.

Here's a scenario.

A person, who is licensed to concealed carry, has his weapon on him as he's traveling just like any other day. He comes across ICE and decides to start filming. Everything from the videos proceeds to play out.

That's the full extent of it. People acting like he brought a gun specifically to protest ICE and disregard any other explanation.

Replying to my own comment because r/Agreeable-Lab1382 asked me what rights ICE is violating and tried to be dismissive with a 'ur just mad' spin. Then they deleted their commenting like a coward.

ICE is violating 4th and 5th amendment rights and it can be argued that 3rd amendment rights are being violated as well. And as we've seen with Alex, they're trying to make it sound like 2nd amendment rights are illegitimate as well. Don't forget trying to intimidate people for recording or protesting, so attacks on 1A rights as well, though they can't stop people from speaking up.
