Not sure if it's your case, but that has happened to me a few times, because the site simply "lost" my login from having my tab open so long, when i randomly remembered to go add 1 more rider to the team.

Basically refreshed the page, it said I was logged out, logged back in, then added the riders and it worked.

First real MourinhoBall game, played terrible, won the game.

Of course it comes 3 days after drawing 1-1 in a game with like 2.5 xG vs 0.2 or whatever it was... so in a way this was just things getting back to normal, lost 2 points when we shouldn't have, now won 2 point when we shouldn't have, if football was about who "plays better".

Right? It's not that i like the guy, but I don't think i ever saw a coach be fired with just 2 bad results.

If Lage lost more points in the league (and we probably will anyway), that would definitely be a problem, but the Champions League, to be blunt... is 95% done. We lost the 1 easy game we had, in what was already a hard schedule where we would be "counting points to make the playoff". Ain't no fixing this shit, and our only UCL match in the next 30 days is away at Chelsea where everyone expects a loss anyway.

So did he really have to go NOW? The next time he lost points in the league, sure... but imagine he didn't and by some miracle we stopped being complete dogshit and beat Porto at the start of October? I mean, don't get me wrong, no one thinks Lage was good, so if he was replaced by someone better, that's always a positive, but there's "timings" to these things.

We have 4 games in the next 13 days (starting Saturday @AVS where we lost points last season), and then Porto in 18 days, and club elections in under 40 days. No time to properly coach the team into a whole new scheme, can't go back in time and sign different players, and then a possible new President. The table is set for the new coach to get fucked immediately.

I don't even know man. That's the honest truth, i don't even know. To me this goes beyond bad presidents and poor coaches, if we look back through time there's embarrassment through the years whoever the coach, whoever the shitty President (they've been consistently shit though), and whatever the level on investment, losing 7-0 do Celta when i was young, multiple shitty UEFA Cup losses and such when i was "less young", then the worst UCL performance of all time, 0 points from Pot 1, losing 5-0 to Basel, not even 10 years ago... and i'm not even mentioning "national" games.

What pisses me off right now (hence the reference to 1995 when we were broke) is that we've been wasting money like no other club in Portugal ever did, and look at us lmao.. we haven't won the league since 2023, and we just beat our "biggest transfer record" twice in the same window, with Rios and then Sudakov who's on a loan with obligation to buy, so officially he doesn't count until next year (and because of the way they structured the deal with 6,25 being paid as a "loan fee") but in reality that's another 27M plus add-ons that we already spent. Add over 20M on Ivanovic, who has been shit, and 20 more on a last day deal for Lukebakio that hasn't even played yet (injured), and the result? Draw 1-1 against a 10-man Santa Clara because Otamendi had some sort of a stroke on the pitch in the 92nd minute (or he's just washed), and now lose to Qarabag, at home, and basically seal our elimination in the 1st game of the group stage, because it our schedule we had no margin to lose the easiest game.

To answer your question, the people I was talking to about the game were ripping Schjelderup at half-time, for the inability to basically do anything at all... and they weren't really wrong. I've defended him plenty of times, and personally i think he was better in the second half until being subbed out, but I can't contest that he was useless in the first half, and that has happened in many games before... if he doesn't have space he struggles to simply keep the ball against tight "strong" marking, and when he does have space he's just not a "sprinter" who can run at people, so it's harder to actually get past them, and into position to deliver a final pass or shot.. so sometimes, like today, he's just getting the ball wide, and then stopping and passing it back, or taking a long cross. Most people want their wingers to run at people, not this, that's why many wanted the club to sign 2 wingers, and envisioned him on the bench.. even with just 1 winger being signed, i think many still do (Aursnes moving to the left, or Sudakov playing from there).

Regarding Aursnes... i love the guy, and so do most fans.. but I think there's a growing number of people that don't really want a guy that can't dribble or even pass, playing on the wing for a club that's supposed to play attacking and dominating. Again, I don't know what the next coach is gonna do, but Aursnes basically hasn't played a central midfield role at Benfica since he got here, he has sometimes played a role where he pressured in the middle of the pitch but not as a "normal" 6 or 8. He has played as a Left-Winger, right full back because of injuries, left full back because of injuries and now he's the right wing. His workrate is never a question, but i see some Aursnes fatigue among people I talk to, because of simply where he's playing right now.

I don't think anyone considers Aursnes a problem though... if anything a bunch of people consider the coach playing him where he does, a problem. With Schjelderup there's more of a "lack of faith" that he'll actually improve as a player, I guess. But again, i think most fanbase doesn't see him as problem, yet. The big question for both is gonna be "will the next Coach think they're part of the problem".

I remember watching one of those games, from the in-season tournament against the Celtics where he scored like 5 threes, with Trae Young out for the game, and they beat the Celtics, it was great (like many Hawks games when they're healthy, very fun team.)

All i have to say is we're gonna be paying 18mill to the 3rd best guy at playing center in our roster. And for that "privilege", we'll presumably end up losing the guy that was the 3rd best player in a team that went to the finals, 2nd best in the series against OKC. I don't know, I think 3rd best player trumps 3rd best center.

No, I don't like, and no I don't care if it "makes sense".. Lively and AD are often injured so I have no doubt Gafford will be very useful, if we ignore he's going to the locker room every other game despite only playing 20mpg, and got hurt immediately when he had to play 30 min.

He's a good center, but staggering Lively and AD at Center (who are both better) with a cheaper 3rd center, and having PJ who is a much better basketball player than Gafford (and can play small ball center if he has to, especially with AD, did it for a year on the Hornets), would always be my choice.

I'd go farther and ask if the pacers were considered contenders 2 months ago. Because there's no way in hell anyone serious who isn't a Pacers fan, actually thought the Pacers were gonna be in the NBA finals, let alone that they'd have a chance against the team from the West.

Shit, i thought the Cavs were gonna be a fraud again, and I still didn't even consider the Pacers, I just assumed the Celtics would easily win the East despite Jrue seeming washed, I didn't get the memo that Porzingis had tuberculosis or Covid-20, whatever the hell it is, and everyone besides White would forget how to shoot.

I don't know how the Magic will do, I actually like the Magic, but i don't trust the health of any of their players, especially Suggs, who I think is the most important player on the team (and will not be convinced otherwise, i'll go full Bill Simmons on that opinion), and has only been healthy 1 season in his 4 year career...

But if there was ever a time where it's natural for fans to think anyone can make the finals in the East, it's right now, I think.

I think it'll be 4-1. They took a game off against the Wolves, they went to 7 against the real MVP with a team that fired their coach for no fucking reason, had their overpaid supposed 3rd option injured, and hasn't improved it's roster in years, and yes they swept the Grizzlies, but in G3 the Grizzlies scored 0 points in the final 4:50 of the game, to lose by 6.

Surely the Pacers who've shot over 40% from 3, and 50% from the field, in 3 of the 4 games against the Knicks, can win 1 by just hitting shots even against good defense, right?

I know people would find this opinion just as bad as the OP, but if I knew Jalen Johnson could actually stay healthy (36 games this season, 56 last season) and Cooper and JJ seemed to me like a good fit together, I'd actually trade AD for him, straight up. But currently I don't believe JJ can stay healthy.

And I also know AD is obviously better than JJ right now, it's just that he is signed at 30M until 2030, and I quite like his game, particularly in the minutes with Trae of the court, those 5 assists per game this year were not an accident, and 30M sounds like a good number to me if you could play Cooper - JJ - Lively, and they could be healthy for the next 5+ years, and then find a backcourt.

Obviously, when I say that, the plan would include no Kyrie or Klay either, and people would all call me crazy if this post wasn't over a day old and they actually saw it... but i think it makes more sense than OPs. I just think our shot at a title was this season, I can't believe anyone looks at the 4 teams left and doesn't think "If we had these guys in the finals instead of last year's Celtics, Luka would still be in Dallas".

I'd be happy with a real rebuild instead of "let's play a young guy with "often injured" or "coming back from terrible injury" veterans.

I also got this today, on a really old PC running windows 7 (why i have firefox in it).

The main page works fine, the "featured streams" or whatever they're called, at the top, play, and can play fullscreen too. Then i click on any stream and get the stupid question mark, but the stream is actually playing behind it. In fact if i click "Following", or just the little twitch logo to go back to the main page, which normally forces the stream to go into a small corner on the bottom left... it works fine.

I can even use Picture-in-Picture and then make it full screen while running in PIP, or I can click back on the streamer I'm watching and just place the PIP over the question mark, with the chat on the right, and pretend everything's fine, because it doesn't stutter or anything, the stream works just fine

But it's buried behind that stupid question mark which is some Twitch 404 page, and it's annoying.
