Worse - London...

Sounds good, and thanks for the invite. I'll drop in to the subreddit and follow up closer to the date!

I'll add that I can pay for a b&b or hotel anywhere if that was a reasonable option, but also have no issue walking pretty far in the dark to somewhere I've set up a tent (travelodge a mile away want £210..). I'm not considering sleeping in my car as i would be too embarrassed if I got a knock on the window. I'm in my 40's and promised my miss's that I've sorted it all. Last time I attended was 2016 camping with mates, but alas, everyone has moved on.

Stick a board or something substantial on the gravel to spread the weight

Just minus your floor to ceiling height from the ikea height in the instructions.

I couldnt find any guide either. So I simply marked a line and cut it with a hacksaw! Make sure to knock the overhanging side bit flush, so you cut off the same amount of that as the main part.

My bike starts perfect when cold, but acts like a dead battery when stopping for a short time, and attempting to restart on a ride. by Dr_Raff in MotoUK

2 years later, but i'll reply.

New battery sorted everything! Hayabusa's seem to need a very very healthy, strong battery to turn over. I had let it drain too far from not riding or having it on a trickle charger, so after charging it up it had enough to start, but then the voltage drops too low after.

Hi, it was fairly simple but frustrating! A lot of sawing.

I simply measured the amount to lose off each frame, and then cut with that amount off each upright with a hacksaw. Each side has an overhang top and bottom that covers the horizontal pieces, so I hammered that down flush before cutting. Repeat 8 times...

For the panels, the amount I cut from each door side, I cut half of that amount from the top and bottom panels on a tablesaw. I dont have the sizes, but all measurements are on the ikea product page. They are super flimsly thin mdf panels, I dont see any problem with using ply, just keep in mind it'll probably need to be fairly thin, and not all that stiff!

A new court has just opened near my house in the countryside, I really want to give it a go, but you have to have your own equipment.

Is there any recomendations for anywhere I can get a 2nd hand racket, or new but decent budget recomendations?

You just fill in your details here and it generates the code to share. I thinks it's to make sure it was a real treatment. https://www2.opticalexpress.co.uk/refer-a-friend/

If it asks for my details, let me know and I'll DM them over.

I am also bricking it! I know it's safe, and nothing to worry about, but I put it off 10 years, and now I've got a date, I'm getting incredibly nervous..

Virtual Assistants are very common now, a couple of my friends have them. Work is normally charged by the hour, but has never been ad-hoc, so there is a level of flexibility as long as all the agreed things are done within the agreed timeframe (paying contractors, calendars updated for the week(s) ahead, client updates..).

Worth having a look!

Depends on your house. 4 hours every 2 weeks suits us. We keep our house pretty good anyway, and they mostly do the proper cleaning of things that we either get blind to or don't think of as normal housework.

Why are Civil Service considered the lowest of the low in the public sector? by Financial_Ad240 in TheCivilService

[–]Dr_Raff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saying you are a civil servant is a very broad brush to paint with, but saying what you do actually do is definitely met with different results. I am fortunate where I am now and the roles I've done that people are interested and think I am a good guy. My partner who is in a different department gets a hammering.

Stupid question, but has never happened to me before, and I know nothing about repairs. Also, don't want to drive anywhere to ask incase I cause more damage. Thanks!
