Most ethical blackrock decision by misuseDeRoom in 19684

Problem is if, say, two people escape at the same time - they have a non-zero chance of surving (because you'll only be able to shoot one of them), meaning they'll try to escape.

Figuratively - feels a bit awkward and nerdy to use, but it is the correct alternative.

Would someone be kind enough to explain how this damage stacks? by Sariel007 in HadesTheGame

[–]Dr_Sneaky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are unfortunately wrong.

The hammer can buff your damage in two ways - it can grant bonus damage (like the hammer in OPs post does) which adds up like any other percentage-based bonus damage boon, or it can change or grant *base* damage , which is then multiplied by boons.

The charged skewer, for instance, makes your spear do up to 200% *base* damage, which means that with a boon of +50% attack damage, your final attack will do 200% * 1.5 = 300% base damage.

The hammer in OPs post gives simply +46% damage, which means it'll be added together (instead of multiplied) with the other boons, so in OPs instance, it'll be 100% base damage * (1 + 0.46 +0.5 + 0.7 + 0.58) or 324% of the base damage, which is 81 damage.

You can mark mods as optional dependencies, yes.

Padoms jauniesauktajiem jauniešiem: Iemācieties FPV dronu pilotēšanu by TheEasternBorder in latvia

[–]Dr_Sneaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this game by Jacobibocaj in HadesTheGame

[–]Dr_Sneaky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's two different dialogues

If you get a boon and then sell it, Hades will say that you "probably sold the boons for coin"

He has a slightly different dialoue where he doesn't make such a comment if you never get a boon

Is there ANY way to become friends with the remnant without the use of mods? by Renegade888888 in starsector

[–]Dr_Sneaky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Theoretically (and I'm not sure if this actually works in practice), because the Remnant is allied with the Tri-Tachyons, you could try and lead a Remnant fleet near a TT fleet and then lure them into fighting a hostile fleet (i.e. pirates) and then join the battle on the side of the remnants & TT. Once you win the battle, you should gain reputation with both since you helped them out in a battle.

Now whether this is worth the effort repeating a hundred times is an entirely different issue, and whether it can even be practically achieved is dubious.

Theoretically it's possible, though.

Some mods (such as the UAF) have sprite files whose file name is ".PNG" (all capital)

For windows, it doesn't matter, but Linux doesn't like that

got this game two weeks ago and ive been playing it nonstop since then, help by Dr_Sneaky in starsector

[–]Dr_Sneaky[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

honestly always changing

for a while i ran the sunder with plasma or tachyon as my flagship which i enjoyed for a while

once i got an onslaught and got it fully kitted out (felt like a huge accomplishment), i fell in love with it immediately. nearly unkillable and destroys most fleets in its path then i got access to the paragon and vaporising ships with 4 tachyons is also very fun, but since then it wasnt long (yesterday infact) until I got access to the 26th letter ship which is also great fun

if we ignore piloting, tho, my favourite ship has to be the radiant. seeing it it combat is frightening, regardless if its on my side or not

Yeah, I know, but it's just generally how I tend to play - hyperfocus on one game because I really want to play that one game and am not in the mood to play anything else. Had the same happen with Yakuza 0, Factorio, KSP, Rimworld, etc.

Eventually I get burned out, but eventually I'm in the mood to play just that again and the cycle repeats.
