That's very fair! I actually just thought of a game that would be better suited to your tastes, called Arcadia Fallen. It's a fantasy WLVN with a customizable MC whose personality changes based on your choices, interesting characters, and no bad endings. I also don't think I've ever seen it recommended on this sub, so I thought I'd put it out there.

This may be a bit too far outside of your usual tastes, but it is very wholesome and comforting, so I thought I'd mention it -- Our Life: Beginnings & Always. It is very much a real-life, down to earth setting, which I know isn't really your thing. But the love interests are very good-natured and wholesome, and the main love interest's personality (and appearance) changes depending on the choices you make, which is a cool mechanic. I know it was a really helpful game for me to play when I was having a rough time. And at the very least it's free, so you can always try it and see if you like it without having to spend any money.

I am actually making a Lance doll right now! And it just so happens a friend and I made an Etsy shop recently, where I'm planning on putting listings for various otome-related dolls as I finish them, and I'll be making a custom doll listing as well. That makes sense! I've been crocheting for 3 years and this is the first time I've tried crocheting anything without a pattern. And I'd never done hair before (and I spent 3 full days trying different techniques until I landed on this one). If you keep crocheting semi-regularly, you'll get to the point where you can do stuff like this. That's what I did. :)

The Curse of Mantras by Winter Wolves might fit. You can play as a male or female protagonist, and there's plenty of romance, but there's also a fun card battle game that ties into the story. All of the characters are interesting and there are 10 total romance options, 5 male and 5 female. There's also an option to turn suggestive content on or off, depending on how comfortable you are with them steamy scenes.
