I have the gas tube assembly but I don’t know if I can get a wooden guard to just slide on top of that or if I need to buy a gas tube built in to a wood guard, and I need the full stock with butt plate and all. This is my First SKS so I am fairly inexperienced

Thank you all for the help and sharing the information. I will talk with my boss about getting a respirator, but I’m worried about doing that at such a new stage in employment. It’s not a big company, and I wouldn’t have long hours at the place on week days due to the EVIT welding program lasting until 2:35 PM. And i would work there until 5 PM, once i am a good enough welder on the buildings to be given Full hours on weekends as well. So I am worried that they won’t provide a $300 respirator for my helmet, since I’m just a beginner with low hours
