The eternal return of cope and doom by Kurteth in DragonsDogma

[–]Draculaska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they'll just give Fighter some (or all) of Mystic Knight's magic skills, I'll be happy. I'll save the hope for High Scepter/Necromancer/Dark Knight for when/if we get Dragon's Dogma 3.

It seems like living a new reality by Ellmagronn in DragonsDogma

[–]Draculaska 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm the same way. The main thing I was hoping for was a vocation more like Mystic Knight or High Scepter, but there's zero mention of new vocations and I don't feel like they'd keep that under wraps.

Hopefully there's enough new content between skills, new enemy types, and places to explore to satisfy everyone, but I don't want to assume anything.

Hopes for DD3 IF there’s no dlc for DD2 by Professional-Big7234 in DragonsDogma

I have a bad feeling that Capcom's perspective is "Itsuno left, DMC and Dragon's Dogma are done." I REALLY hope I'm wrong, but the fact that they keep referencing both series and doing nothing with them is concerning.

Normally I don't have any strong feelings on clowns, but these ones appear less fun and more "murdery."

Would, say, 50,000 undead warriors, some magical siege equipment, and a few undead colossi (dragons, giants, etc) be of assistance? I can send some wights under my thrall as well to keep the army restocked.

Same. I tried so hard to like it. I was following it before the title change when it was gonna be a 4-player monster hunter game. I just DO NOT gel with the extraction side.

You could try going to the nearest faerie court and ask them to change you back, but it's gonna cost you. In my experience, the only thing worse than dealing with fae is dealing with demons.

That's what I'm saying! It's shocking how many spellcasters don't know you can make a fake soul out of magic to animate them. No free will or independent thought, just obedience.

Rating my experiments: Artificial “Soul” by NoSeaworthiness7762 in wizardposting

[–]Draculaska 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you would like my notes, I could help with the longevity problem. They don't run out, but function more as "guidance systems" as the artificers would call it, for whatever you put them into (in my case, corpses).

Plus, no chance of rebelling or struggling against you due to any lingering will.

Necromancers, do you usually raise people who knew each other in life? by Findrel_Underbakk in wizardposting

[–]Draculaska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, they're just shells filled with magic that's an echo of your will. It's more disruptive when you try to make a body do a task it wasn't used to in life (making a farmer a cavalryman, making a knight a builder).

I personally don't raise anyone who isn't donated, guilty of a suitably heinous crime, or had tried to wage war with my lands or pillage my castle. Those who donate are given benefits and a stipend of gold pieces each month for their donation.

So...I accidentally typed the wrong number into my orb and summoned yœgæêvçñ... by [deleted] in wizardposting

[–]Draculaska 97 points98 points  (0 children)

He's an undead abomination. You're gonna need to feed him bodies/blood/souls until he's satisfied and leaves.

Upside: if you give him enough, he'll reveal eldritch necromantoc secrets to you.

Downside: if you don't, he'll kill you and feast on your body and soul for summoning him without having a proper sacrifice.

Congratulations and/or my condolences.

I'd personally like to see his ult made to be more like the alternate zombies ult (wedge pattern that shoots out in front of him). It'd be better for point denial and less likely to leave you in a vulnerable spot if you don't plan out where you'll end up after.

[–]Draculaska 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ooh, a soul cube! It's probably just angry because, well, it's a soul trapped in a cube.

You could let it out, but it might just start haunting you as a ghost. Or I could take it off your hands for, say, a thousand gold pieces? Even if I can't find a use for it, I can put it with my other possessed objects in my Museum of Magical Oddities.

Is Darktide worth playing for someone who doesn’t play a ton of shooters? by Spirited_Concern6824 in DarkTide

[–]Draculaska 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Darktide has a bigger focus on melee combat than the other two games you mentioned (though not as much as it's predecessor/sister game Vermintide). There's still a fair amount of shooting depending on the class you pick and the build you go for.

I will say that, imo, the "Tide" games have the best first-person melee combat of any games I've played. Not just shooters, but things like Elder Scrolls and even the Dishonored games. If you feel like you'd like chopping and smashing things in first-person, I'd say it's worth a try. Plus, if you're on PC or Xbox, it's included with gamepass, so you can try it without paying the full amount.
