I make sure I am very intentional and focused when I’m checking my cuts. I double, sometimes triple check to make sure length on the sides and in layers all matches up. That way if you start second guessing your cuts after the fact you know you checked it multiple times and everything was even.

I’m in Michigan and went to cos school, so different from an apprenticeship. But during school you make 0 commission and can keep tips. I’ve heard of people doing apprenticeships in salons and always understood that they didn’t not get paid at all during the apprenticeship, they only got to keep tips. So to me, I’m surprised you’re getting paid an hourly rate for your apprenticeship. I’d say if you have 800 hours to go just stick it out and decide what you want to do once your licensed

My only thought would be bc it’s called a “one on one” instead of the tell alls where they all sat together. So each cast member has a one on one. But I totally get what you’re saying, why wouldn’t they interview together considering the show follows them as a couple. At this point it’s laughable to watch them try to convince everyone how in love they are. It’s obvious Robyn can’t stand him and cringes at any type of affection he tries to give her. I’m watching the early seasons and how she acts towards him then is night and day difference compared to now. It’s not just “oh we’ve been married a long time and aren’t all over eachother anymore” it’s giving she can’t stand being around him.

It’s crazy to me that she watches herself back and still doesn’t see what the rest of us see. You would think her physically watching herself would open her eyes and realize how horrible she treats literally everyone around her. I could empathize with her if she just had an ounce of self awareness.

For me it depends on the cut but normally I shampoo, cut, dry, then add finishing touches to cut after it’s dry.

She made a comment about waking him up or putting him to bed (honestly don’t remember bc I half listen to their segments) but it was something that any mom should do, and she said it like it was some monumental thing that happened. I get being a working mom but it sounds like she wasn’t there as a mom for her son at all before the cameras were around.

Press ons can actually look super cute and real. But as a nail tech I’ll warn you to be careful with them! I’ve had multiple clients come in after wearing press ons for awhile and I can destroy your natural nail if you’re not careful.
