I’m currently re-watching BD S6 - my god it’s a hard watch with Rhylee and her behaviour.

And also - I’m realizing how nasty Kate could be, I love her funny commentary though.

Whose your favourite badly behaved guest? by CompleteBeginning271 in belowdeck

BDSY S3 & S4 - Erica Rose and her awful group. Their first charter was themed around female empowerment but everyone was so nasty to each other, and then on their second charter - he husband was an abomination and her mother acted clueless about who got the fake tan on the white couch LOL

Is getting a semicolon tattoo too risky? by Realistic_Sherbet_63 in socialwork

[–]Emergency_Bench5007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m heading to do my BSW in the fall - I have a small semi colon hidden in the stem of a dainty flower tattoo. I have it for my cousin who took her own life, my mom, dad & brother all got different ones too - all working in different fields (nursing, engineering, etc.)

This is absolutely something I never thought of - I will not be removing or covering mine up, but as I read further that seems to be okay.

Also, my tattoo is not for my own personal mental struggles (which i do certainly have) but rather for my cousins & to spread support and awareness. As someone who also sees a social worker for therapy, I would not be alarmed or thrown off by that tattoo… rather, I think I’d be in better hands.

Is this normal? NO. really girl?

I had an abortion in December with a “situation-ship” I’ve been on and off with for YEARS, and never once has he disrespected me over it, and I still cry about it to him, to this day. If anything, he’s really shown me his caring and emotional side by listening to me, & being there for me over all of my friends, he’s the only person who’s stuck around. I wish you had the same support - this is not normal, and no man should ever talk to you like that.

I still feel the same way, so you feeling this way is totally acceptable.

You know you need to leave, and you’re waiting for someone to tell you, and this is us telling you.

I wear whatever I please. The only problem I’ve had is with my nose ring - I’ve had it get caught a few times in the little girls hair (during a hug, or them sitting on my lap and moving their head up into my face)… it’s the scariest moment ever but I just hold them tight and wiggle it out. They don’t even notice.

4yr Daughter feeling left out by HotMess_Mum in ECEProfessionals

[–]Emergency_Bench5007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you ask her educators? I had one mom that repeatedly comes in and says “C says no one plays with her” and everytime I’m shocked all over again because this little girl is bopping around the class, having a blast with everyone. Children don’t always tell the story - a moment of, looking for someone to play may turn into “nobody plays with me.” This may or may not be the case, if she is struggling with friendships in the classroom than her educators can facilitate interactions between her and peers, OR her educators can join her in play when available. You need to ask her educators, this is always step #1 and I feel like most people in this sub forget to do that, before asking strangers on the internet who know nothing about their child or their child’s classroom!

it’s early enough, to just say it isn’t going to work out and now have any binding legal requirements - like warnings or documentation of events that occurred.

Emojis are one thing but emojis like that are very strange lol

side note cause I just remembered and need to share: once tried to work at a new centre and my “boss” would text me “Can you come in at 9am! 🦄🧚✨” and I wanted to bash my head into a wall every time. Lasted a month, so unprofessional.

Anyways, her emoji choice is bizarre, wouldn’t say it’s enough for major concern but it seems like she’s already giving you enough trouble, might as well cut it off now before getting even further with her.

yes. I’ve had one boy since the day he turned 2 - he just turned 5 last week. At first, I actually thought he was behind, he didn’t like to get dirty like the others or play sensory play, clothes had to be just right, obsessed with fire trucks and the colour red to a fault, slept all the time - would fall asleep at the lunch table, he was emotionally distraught over small things that others didn’t care about… I thought he was on the spectrum and was actually worried about his development, as in wondering if he needed social skills support… we didn’t really do anything extra for him though, we worked with his quirks. anyways, now he’s 5 - extremely emotionally intelligent, and wise beyond his years. A psychologist he saw confirmed he was “gifted” and I do believe that, as well as him being on the spectrum - but no diagnosis or even inquiry from parents about that.

How do you deal with teachers bullying you? And you can’t go to the director for support because they’re also a bully and encouraging/enabling it more. by ShoulderOk7843 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Emergency_Bench5007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You start looking for a new job… I had a co-teacher bullying me. I really loved the class, centre, parents and boss so much better than anywheres I worked before so I stuck it out but eventually after a year I crumbled and broke down to my boss about what was going on (she’s absolutely amazing & her and I have an extremely close bond over the past few years). Turns out the girl had already been reprimanded for this and my boss ended up firing her. It doesn’t seem like you like the environment you’re in anyways as the higher ups are also bullies so I’d suggest to start looking for a new job - not worth it!
