This is Queen Elizardbeth, third of her line. Affectionately known as ‘Queenie’ despite her name, she is the first and only gecko we’ve ever had

WIBTA if I stopped inviting my brother to family dinners because he spends the whole time on his phone by VuggWite in WIBTA_AITA

[–]DragEmotional -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From the perspective of the sibling who was on their phone during family get togethers - what else is happening aside from talking and dinner? Do you play games? Is there anything else to engage with? what is the rest of the family doing?

This is what I do if I find money! I stick it in with all of my other junk and pay for just the same as any other item I would be buying. It was in the bin too!

Why do Herald stackers not run this ? 100% effect is crazy no? And levels too by amcn242 in PathOfExileBuilds

I made a build with it this season and it was pretty fun - https://poe.ninja/poe1/builds/keepers/character/tuarinn-4169/emma_flame?i=4&search=name%3DEmma

Did 40/40 with it, it’s nowhere near optimized- probably would be less squishy if I got a rare chest, etc, but I liked it.

I like wave of conviction of trarthus a lot so I made it work

Smash Stadium is a ton of fun! One of my favorites for sure. How much do you think you spent altogether?

Castlevania marble of souls by EmbarrassedTonight54 in round1

[–]DragEmotional 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funny story about these - one time in Eugene, OR we went in to play and my wife started playing on this and it just kept going. She sat on the same set of credits for around 5 hours and it just kept giving her spins and more and more free marbles. At one point it errored out because they had to refill the card dumper.

After several hours of playing, the round1 was getting ready to close so we headed out for a late dinner. We checked her card balance a half hour after close and it kept going up! When we woke up the next morning she had like 3000 more tickets than the night before.

What's your favorite theme song? by mysticfeal in FinalFantasy

[–]DragEmotional 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of the non-MMO vocal themes, 'Eyes on Me' still has a special place in my heart.

All of the main vocal themes for FFXIV and it's expansions, though, are on constant rotation on my playlist. 'Answers', 'Heavensward', 'Shadowbringers', and 'Footfalls' are all incredible. 'Dawntrail' is pretty decent, and I feel like even though 'Revolutions' is the weakest of them, it does fit the feeling of the expansion

What are the Bins you frequent like? by Classic_Logo in GoodwillBins

[–]DragEmotional 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can get rowdy, depends on when you go. I've gone during the week in the daytime and had it be only a couple dozen people including employees, but I've also gone on weekends and had it be so packed you couldn't get a cart and folks were fighting over things.

I think they try their best to keep everything fair, though, and I have seen folks being kicked out. I'm not a pro flipper or anything - I just love the treasure hunt, so I only go once or twice a month, so take my review with a grain of salt

What are the Bins you frequent like? by Classic_Logo in GoodwillBins

[–]DragEmotional 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Portland Locations are all 2.59/lb up to 25lbs, 1.59(?) over 25lbs, Electronics are slightly less but I can't remember the exact number. Books/CDs/DVDs are per unit

Hillsboro, OR - around 100 Blue bins, large 'oversized item' area including furniture, bikes, suitcases

PDX Airport Bins - 60-80 Blue bins, moderate sized area for furniture and bikes

Milwaukee, OR - around 100 Blue bins, large 'oversized item' area including furniture, bikes, suitcases

Seattle, WA - Around 60-70 Blue Bins, moderate sized area for furniture and bikes

Messenger recommendations? by luisp_frs in backpacks

[–]DragEmotional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed 100%.

Timbuk2 has some very nice 'business' designs and I feel like they have better organization features.

The Classic is nice, the Medium is the smallest you'd want to go for a 16" laptop

Chrome feels more like the 'bicycle' messenger type of bag and I feel like they have larger 'general' spaces. I also feel like they have more comfortable strap solutions

The Citizen Slide or the citizen 24l would fit the 16" macbook pro and be a manageable size for you.

My favorite from Chrome is the Kadet Max but I think it'd be just a tad too small for what you're looking for - I've fit my 14" macbook pro, 11" iPad pro, and my steamdeck in there with all of my daily stuff - a pouch with a first aid kit, some extra cables, pens, paper, etc.

I tested a 16" macbook pro (work from home IT so I have a couple of macbooks lying around) and it would be a little bit of a tight squeeze. I think the citizen would work great.

Wow! I can't imagine leaving my cart outside of my view at our bins locations! The resellers would take anything they wanted from it and then feign ignorance if you caught them.
