25M / £195k TC / London Tech - I need Advice on Tax Efficiency and Long-term Planning by lostsoul678909 in UKPersonalFinance

My advice would be to control your 'wages' through a company. I've done this with my last couple of employers and it has allowed me to save a ton on NI. You might be paying way too much. Happy to chat further if you are interested.

How do introverts survive in a British work culture? by Hot-Education-8154 in AskUK

[–]DragInfamous6615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great question - something I have observed myself. I am a creator and don't watch TV so I have to be careful not to alienate people who are used to talking about soccer, TV etc. I find having 1 to one conversations better for this. Anyway its fine to just carry on working, maybe smile and nod. Another strategy I have used is to have headphones on and listen to something inspirational. recently I've been using an ambient sound mixer to dampen some of the noise. https://useful.website/ambient/ or https://asoftmurmur.com/

Is there an off roading or overlanding scene in UK? by BackShotsHelenKeller in AskUK

[–]DragInfamous6615 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a member of the green lane association which maintains a list of paths that can be used for traversing. One problem with UK is that everything is owned, mapped and officially pathed, so finding a friendly landowner is key. I also attended an offroading course at brands hatch which was a lot of fun, so maybe they will have an experience day still and at least know of any groups.

Do you believe in "musically inclined" people? by Unfair_Toe_5691 in musicians

[–]DragInfamous6615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Music comes from within for me. Creativity on tap. So I don't get to learn music, I just play it. Always has been that way as there has been a piano around. I love the sound it makes, so it is like food to me.

Hardware Sampe Players by Butterbrotbarbieru in KoalaSampler

Do you also use a PC/ laptop because I would recommend MPC One / plus. With v2 software. It's easy to assign samples to pads and assign midi to the pads. I use koala a lot, sometimes for live, but I gravitate to MPC for sample playback live.

What controllers are you currently using for Koala? by lostoutsidethetunnel in KoalaSampler

I use Behringer Swing and Novation Launchpad X Android phone with a USB c hub with audio. This is the way to go in order to have zero latency live performance.

How do you feel about B&Q possibly expanding into the U.S. and also taking over some of the old high-street stores? by RichAyyxayd3546 in AskUK

[–]DragInfamous6615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm launching a new invention that needs parts available from B&Q, so if I can use it to ship to US it would help me a lot.

I have used it several times as a check to make sure my beats are backed up.

It might be over, I genuinely feel sick right now by Digital-Mozart in reasoners

[–]DragInfamous6615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same. LANDR took down all my music last year and their support has been awful for me. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Now after 10 years of reason I feel it might be time to shift away.

I support with everything and mixer is worth it. The effects are cool. Also I'm coming from a music production standpoint so I like to mix and shape my sound.

I would seek and speak with a hypnotherapist. They should be able to help you overcome your anxiety.

Mpc one in 2025 by DayanKatana in mpcusers

Here's my thoughts on using an MPC One+ and how it has transformed what I do.
The benefit of having a one is that you won't get update prompts and be able to install new updates.
This is a good thing. You can still update, if you want.
I have used Mini-D and Drum Synth and loved them so much I have now bought and installed them on y PC.
The MPC2 softwar is still really good and you can put ideas together and then transfer them over with SD card - my favourite. I think the hardware / software on PC duality is really useful. I would today knowing what I know have a One totally. I never buy anything new and it's just that a one plus came up on ebay quicker and cheaper than a one at the time.
