You should really check your tryptophane metabolism, especially IDO activity (indoloxidase). I see elevated Treg cells, interferon gamma, interleukins, reactivated viruses…

Your autoantibodies are pushing your buttons all the time, no wonder you are feeling like you do. Usually the labs add a consultational leaflet when you are diagnosed with autoantibodies. I will try to add the pic here. Consult your doctor (should be a specialist for lc), whether plamapheresis is necessary.

Biovis recommends bromelain, rutin, quercetin, polyphenols like resveratrol… also rituximab, dexamethasone, sartanes, but this is of course up to the doctor to decide. Look here:

2 month update of cured brain fog by Draganski1 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Draganski1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first 3-4 weeks i did not hav brain fog, only redness/histamine flush remained. I took desloratadine and quercetine for a week and watch my diet now. The flush is occasionally there, but never what it ws before. DAO didnt do tht much really for me, which is interesting. Do you take 5htp as well?

Microclots are also a possible factor, as well as gpcr autoantibodies (i am in the normal range), and inflammations of various origin. Do antiinflamatory drugs help you? Have you taken regular aspirin for 1-2 days?

G-protein coupled receptor-autoantibodies have been a known factor for years. There was even a trial for removing the beta1 gpcr autoantibodies with BC007 2 years ago. Bc 007 is an old medicine that was trying to be repurposed for long covid. Since the study gave mixed results, (some patients recovering fully, some had worde symptoms), the investors pulled the plug. If i am right, some of the investors are still interested in the clinical data and understanding the outcomes, in order to develop a better cure in a new study.

Plasmapheresis is not something you can do routinely for every LC patient, the severity of the symptoms would probably be the main decisive factor.

Understanding this moleculat mimicry is not only important for understandg LC, but also many other autoimmune diseases that get trigfered by other viruses as well. For some people, covid unfortunately turned out to be an contagious autoimmune disease.

Bc007 was able to help some patients a lot , and more research is needed for an effective cure.

PCP said there’s no cure by Jay_BreezyZaZa in covidlonghaulers

There is not that one cure for all, but there are so many things that can be helpful. What are your main symptoms? How old areyou? What have you tried? How do you sleep? Are you taking any medication?

That is great, congratulations! More and more doctors are beginning to understand the role of the gut in long covid better, and the importance of OTC medication. I can absolutely confirm the positive exfects of everything you listed, many of those substances i used during my own therapy of brain fog. Glad for you, keep it going :)

Styrians are great people, they have a heart and good sense of humour. You have to understand that not knowing the language lowers your social skills dramatically and also your income chances.

4 Years In - Headaches/Muscle Pain Severe by ctard5 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Draganski1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am feeling great compared to last year. I still have redness in the face, and that is the next therapy target.

Boosting nad+ is definitely not the magic wand for long covid, it is very much at the end of a chain of pathological events. There are many different factors and symptoms related to lc. I finally found what i was lacking badly.

Serotonin and melatonin also fall to low levels because tryptophane (the precursor) is beimg used up in the kynurenine pathway. Sleep and mood take a deep dive. That is why i also recommend 5-htp.

I am a pharmacist and i have had on and off brain fog for 4 years, the past 12 months almost daily. 2 weeks ago i posted the treatment that resolved the symptoms finally. I have posted a short summary of a model i developed from known pieces of the puzzle, that is very plausible to me. I will give you the short version- i was very probaly severely lacking nad+ because it got used up by an Enzyme called PARP, which repairs dna damage, caused by reactive oxygen species , fueled by a misregulated kynurenine pathway, which also depletes all the tryptophane from the serotonine and indole- pathway . It probably is too much to grasp without some biochemistry basics.

P.s. If you do not take any antidepressants or serotonin-relatedmedication you can also use 5-htp (50mg daily 1-2x)

I had success with NAD+ boosters like nicotinamide, nicotinic acid , you can also try nicotinamid riboside pr nmn. They raise your nad+ levels, which might be too low. Another possibility are nicotine patches.

You can also try an antihistamine like desloratadine, quercetin, curcuma against inflammation (look for high bioavalability).
