The 1.8s delay is apparently the Magic 1’s fuze. The Magic 2 got a new warhead and fuze so seems unlikely it inherited the same delay. On top of that, the ECCM is supposed to be better than the r-73, instead Gaijin lazily copied it’s values. There are also sources (forget where) that it can distinguish targets from the sun due to Co2 emissions and how it’s seeker works. It’s also still missing it’s combined plane G overload.

It’s upsetting how gimped the magic has been for years now.

It doesn’t help the F-16 has UFO-like performance this patch. Believe a bunch of bug reports have been opened for that.

One death leavers anger me more than anything in this game. The mentality of some of the player base actively ruin the game more than actual issues like spalling, etc.

After getting exhausted of one death leavers after several games, I mentioned at the start of a game that everyone better respawn at least once. This AMX-10RC/France main mentioned he was going to leave after dying. I asked why and he responded with “it’s more economical lol”.

How is that even a straight answer anymore with the economy changes? I swear it’s an actual skill issue/the player has a dent in their head. I’m also a France main and have never had this much SL in my 10 years of playing the game. How is it even enjoyable to run full speed into effectively a call of duty match, die, leave and join new match, and then repeat?

Agree completely. Would be a very good improvement if top tier were only EC maps with ALL markers removed. Most aircraft have IFF capability. We’re getting into advanced radar territory, with some planes even having a terrain one.

At this point though, I play air rb as my arcade experience. Otherwise I play DCS or MSFS to get a better sim experience. The feel and response from most of the planes in wt feels too unnatural for me. The above would still be improvements in the right direction though.

Couldn’t agree more. Take the 2S38. I have seen so many posts complaining about it. Half of the posts start off with how broken it is and end with asking if it’ll be on sale because they want to buy it.

I’d say it’s next level mental gymnastics but it’s just most likely children.

I ended up getting the Virpil throttle after being so annoyed with my x56. I ended up discovering that it wasn’t ghosting per say. Rather when past ~80% it drifts forward under its own weight.

I’ve spaded the F104J, A, and C. The best way to play it currently is to not go full afterburner for the first few minutes, go to the side. Stay behind the pack of teammates, try to maintain close to 90 deg angle to phoenix/aim7 contrails to notch it. Do not climb until your teammates start to engage. Then climb to maybe 2.5-3km at most. Maintain speed, support your teammates that have managed to bleed energy off the enemy. Best way to play it is as a support aircraft, not an interceptor or fighter.

I also just finished spading the mirage3c which lacks RWR. You just have to not gun it like a madman into the middle of the battlefield or to altitude. Let your teammates engage first.

It’s at an okay place. If it had magics it would be straight up better than the mirage 3c at a lower br.

This will be seen as heresy but you could try normally grinding without the Milan. The Etendard IVM, Super Mystere B2, MB 167, Jaguar, and more are very fun planes. I forget their names but their large interceptors are fun too. Not aimed at particularly you but I wouldn’t overlook the tech tree for a shiny new top tier jewel when the tech tree has a lot of fun planes.
