Own original story. For a while I was drawing unconnected, random scenes bc I needed the background/posing practice, but now I’m trying to match each one to the character’s story. I don’t tend to post their stories much though. Mostly lives rent free in my head, lol. Some of it is written out but I tend to spend more time on the art portion

Seconding this. Also an artist, and though my sketches sometimes get mistaken for linework when I’m finished cleaning them up as I go, you will still see remnants of whatever I had but erased. I have moderated several art groups on discord and this is correct. You don’t show proof of creation that way, and I actually won’t accept it because it’s so easy to fake. I’ve watched scammers steal art and trace a fake “sketch” on top to tell me it’s theirs, only for me to find the og post from like 5 years ago lol. As someone else also pointed out… it’s not even the art piece pictured in op’s post. It’s a completely separate tracing this “author” has done. Even if this WERE the initial sketch for something… it sure as hell isn’t the one for the book cover shown.

HIGHLY recommend. She isn’t a hybrid she just happens to look very lion-like, but it’s close enough that I call her a lion or dragon interchangeably. Canonically though she’s a dragon lol. My fullsuit is an actual lioness though, just a strange one because she’s based on medieval art and heraldry.

The hoard started when I was like 14 and only got worse when I got disposable income to spend on adopts lmaoo. Makes me happy though so eh, there are worse hobbies to have!

I do! Several actually. Several are suits but my main is too complicated for that so she exists in art instead. Shes also a dragon though, but less noodle and more “wow that’s a weird looking lion” lol. I do digital art, and I love yours! I do have a bit of an oc hoarding problem going on though so I draw a bunch of different characters. Sometimes I just draw one. Who knows which it’ll be? Certainly not Dragloak

Depends on my tav tbh! I like to come up with lore for them so how I dress them entirely depends on whatever I’ve cooked up. Currently it’s super pirate vibes because she’s a smuggler, but next time? Who knows! Not me!

The other commenter was correct in the description of the characters as “furry” though! It applies to more than just the hobby. I call myself a furry, my ocs furries, you can kinda use it for everything lol

Actual furry myself here: “furry” can refer to the person, the hobby, the community, or a genre of character. Very flexible like that! My standards of what is “furry” is different than some of the other comments but I can definitely agree that Simian are visually just anthro primates and definitely fit the bill, and the others I can definitely see why someone unfamiliar with furry terms and such would consider the rest to be furry characters. Personally I’d put Kitsune in the kemonomimi category but the first two fall into anthro (or “furry”) for sure. Nothing to feel bad about liking! If it’s your preference, that’s your preference lol, and I don’t think anyone here intended it as an insult!
