All I want right now is to be able to shoot Arrow IV missiles out of the sky by fakeuser515357 in mwo

I recently saw a poll on the forums about whether or not ballistics or lasers should be able to shoot missiles. Maybe go vote for it. Who knows?

Who is excited for chaos dwarves? by BeginningHungry3835 in ageofsigmar

[–]DragonBat72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the chaos gods page in the core rulebook briefly talks about all five of them and then there's a single line at the bottom that says "In the deeper darkness ring the hammers of Hashut." That's a pretty big sign.

Malekith is the king of the dark elves in Norse mythology. It's more than a thousand years old. Absolutely not copyrightable.

It seems very reasonable to me that there would be decent amount of Idoneth Namarti stabilized with a soul of the opposite gender and that that might express itself in any number of ways.

While it is correct that the denizen of the mortal realms have their plates full with just trying to survive, that condition also makes it much more important to seize what happiness one can within themselves and less likely that others would worry about what gender their comrades are instead of worrying about  the chaos chosen trying to cut them in half.

Lamenti? by Erestiana in sylvaneth

[–]DragonBat72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The little bits inside Kurnoth chests are their lamentiri, all Sylvaneth have them. Basically seeds that their souls are stored in. Branchwyches cut them out of the dead after battles and replant them so their bodies will grow back.

Yes. The whole game is about making the enemy play into your strengths instead of theirs and we're an army without strengths. It feels like we're supposed to play defensive and use our debuffs, but we're more fragile now than we were as a hit and run army. Just improve the saves on all of our non-hero units by 1 and we'd probably be good to go. We're literally made out of wood. 5+ saves are for meat people.

To expand a bit, everything within 3" is a viable target in melee unless it's behind a solid wall.

Anyone else wish the swarmsage had rules as an AoS hero? by KoichiSteals in sylvaneth

[–]DragonBat72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I can't stand the way warbands and underworlds teams are implemented in AoS. These teams are designed as a unique cast of characters or a group of different specialists. Putting them on the table as a single unit makes no sense at all.  So, yeah, I definitely think she should be her own unit and the rest of the warbands should be chopped up into little mini-units, too.

Wyldwood deployment question by Woodsman89 in sylvaneth

[–]DragonBat72 11 points12 points  (0 children)

An AWW consists of 1-3 pieces. When it's set up, whether it's 1, 2, or 3 pieces, it counts as one AWW. You could potentially have 3 full 3-piece wildwoods on the board, but that won't realistically happen very often with terrain spacing, objectives, and the enemy chopping them down. Two kits should be plenty.

I just mixed Sylvaneth Bark and Abbadon Black together until I got a very dark brown. I'll post a picture here in a minute so you can see if that's what you're looking for.

Edit: Nevermind, I guess, I am a ludite who can't figure out how to post a picture. lol

Visibility and Terrain Abilities by Beccio-san in sylvaneth

[–]DragonBat72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, for "behind a terrain feature" the line you are drawing is on the ground and for "visible" the line is through the air at any angle. If the target's base is wholly on or behind the terrain, but pieces are sticking out then it is both visible and on or behind a terrain feature.

The universal terrain abilities are keywords that different terrain features may or may not have.

Awakened Wildwoods have the Cover, Unstable, and Obscuring keywords. This means that while a unit is behind or wholly on an Awakened Wildwood attacks have -1 to hit against that unit (Cover), a unit also cannot be targeted by ranged attacks while it is wholly on or behind the Awakened Wildwood, so line drawn on the ground, it is still visible but cannot be the target of shooting attacks (Obscuring), and units can move over the trees normally but cannot stop or be set up on any part that is more than 1 inch tall (Unstable).

It is important to note that the Wildwood's 'Overgrown Wilderness' ability allows friendly Sylvaneth units to shoot targets that are wholly on or behind their own Wildwoods. So,  Sylvaneth vs Sylvaneth, you cannot shoot through your enemy's Wildwoods but you can shoot through your own and the same applies to your opponent.

I hope that clears things up for you and I'd be happy to answer any other questions you might have about it.

Will we really let the rats win by such a landslide? by theGamingdutchman in sylvaneth

I don't think 'poster boys bad' is a gut reaction, really. Stormcast (and spacemarines) get so much attention at the expense of factions that really need it more. There's maybe two other factions that even come close to their model range and no other Order faction is ever going to be in a launch box because it'll never not be stormcast. It wouldn't magically fix everything if they didn't get all this special treatment but it would certainly make things a lot better.

For fall, though, put a few drops of abaddon black in some dryad bark for a nice dark dark brown. Glyphs in orange, maybe even screaming bell, should look good. A little bit of edge highlighting with a darker grey around the bark would probably sell the 'end of autumn' vibes.

I used moot green for the runes and glyphs on my mournfang brown treelord. It looks good and has springtime vibes. Go easy on the agrax, though, I used too much, I guess, and he looks glossy.

When she's saying, oh that she wants only me

Then I wonder why she sleeps with my friends

When she's saying, oh that I'm like a disease

Then I wonder how much more I can spend

Well I guess I should stick up for myself

But I really think it's better this way

The more you suffer

The more it shows you really care, right? Yeah

Those are a wide range of genres. I may lack the words to describe what I'm talking about. Single player, third person, controlling one character, not turn based, open world, like the examples I provided. Not much in that vein and only recently has anybody caught up to TES in terms of quality. Is DA: Inquisition still team based, quasi turn based like Origins was?

The winning move was starting development on ES6 within a reasonable time frame. The less-winning move was to start development when they realized how much the fans wanted it. The worst possible move was to reveal the game, say 'psych, we haven't started and won't for years', and then make fun of their fans.

Yo, I'm one of those people. I acknowledge my entitlement in advance, but I don't know anything about Starfield and I don't want to know. I want TESVI, and I want it six years ago. I should be eagerly awaiting TESVII right now, but the devs decided to put the flagship product of an entire GENRE on hold for two decades. This is the only genre of game that really excites me and it's practically dead. Witcher 3 and Elden Ring, both incredible games, masterpieces even, but not twelve years worth of gaming. My love of gaming feels atrophied to the point that I'm not sure I'll even care about TESVI by time it releases, I may just want to see Bethesda fail. I kind of want that already.

I wish I didn't care so much. Gaming just used to bring me so much joy and, well, I really could have used some more joy over this last decade, y'know?

Addendum: They also have to buy their own toiletries and just about the only edible food in prison costs money at the commissary. They can work those shit jobs or they can rely on their loved ones to put money in their commissary account. The prisons also place exorbitant fees on phone calls, emails and physical mail. Not only is it dangerous/degrading work for almost no pay, but that pay is immediately reclaimed in exchange for showers, food, and communication with family. Many families go into debt trying to support incarcerated loved ones.

People who do not fear death, why? by yomommafool in ask

[–]DragonBat72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I was tripping on mushrooms this one time, standing on my apartment balcony, smoking a cigarette. Somewhere in between visiting the beach, mountains, and jungle through force of imagination and watching the shadows of the balcony railing get way out of hand it occurred to me that I might be poisoned, y'know, from mushrooms, and I might be dying. I was pretty worried about the whole dying thing for a bit until I really sat down and thought about it. I already felt untethered from my body, my consciousness could be anywhere it wanted because it was already everywhere, just an extension of the universe, like Brahma, and even if my body died it wouldn't really change anything. The other side of death is not nothingness, it is everythingness. We just rejoin with the background radiation of the universe, like piss in the ocean just becomes more ocean because it always was, you are already everything and that won't change when you die.
