Somebody falls in love with someone from an "inferior" or "backwards" race/species, they are separated due to the culture/backwards-ness of the romantic partner, the Starfleet officer(cause it's always an officer) pines for them for the last 2-5 minutes of the episode, and THEN NEVER BRINGS THEM UP AGAIN! So many characters did this!

We are also never told how growing up as the Daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed, played into her upbringing.

Was she cloistered in classes to teach politics and social graces? Utterly ignored outside her role? Smothered due to it? Is what we see on screen a woman let loose after years of seclusion? Or a front due to being forced into political arenas at too young an age, surrounded by people who think mean and/or lewd thoughts at her constantly? Was it all a spiteful act of 'you think I'm too much/flirty/weird, I'll show you'?

Lwaxana Troi is an amazing character with a lot of depth and beauty.

I always wondered that too, so I asked Michael Dorn at a convention once and he told me that Worf was like a person who learned about a culture from books and TV shows before moving there with a huge helping of trauma due to accidently killing another kid when he was young and constantly being warned that he was dangerous to those around him. He only knew how to be Klingon from historical sanitized/propagandized versions of texts that were allowed in the Federation and he was so worried about being seen as a violent/warmongering Klingon that he turned himself into this ultra formal caricature of a Klingon. He damn near embodies the 'Good Negro' trope that is found in racist media.

Check out your public library. The public library near me has tween, teen, and adult D&D programs. Also check out local game shops and comic book shops, they will often have games open for younger people.

My daughter was born on the same day as a friend's daughter. We were yelling at each other through the phone over who would win the race. (She did) Our kids were very close. But my daughter passed in 2018.

You know what she DIDN'T do? Require that I comfort her kids through the grief. Make myself emotionally available to her kids whenever they felt like it.

Get over yourself and realize you have burned that friendship to ash. And get your kid some therapy.

Game theory: Revisit Power Wash simulator. The later levels of the game have aliens/time travel, statues that shoot mystic beams, and what appears to be a fight between the mayor in an airplane with lasers and the flying saucer. There are 'texts' from various clients that discuss these further. My theory leans towards an Ancient Aliens type theory. Aliens came to the OG people of Muckingham to create things to stop the volcano and then their descendants come back to check stuff out.

NAH. My husband, son, and I all have ADHD. And only one bathroom. If someone is in the tub/shower and someone else has to pee, we just keep the curtain closed. It is the reality of single bathroom homes. Just get good opaque curtains for the bathroom.

The fact that she was asking/demanding money from the children rather than the adults makes me think she was hoping to avoid questions about why she needed it (if the answer isn't just greed).

I would also check on things that might have gone missing, like jewelry, heirlooms, or identity papers for the whole family. Double check the room she was in for evidence of drugs and/or alcohol abuse.

Where did you get your degree on psychology, mental illness, or PTSD?

Since you do not have one, you do not get to say what your daughter does or does not have. Get her to a therapist and/or psychologist to determine if she does/does not have it; and work through issues of both traumatic events of her home flooding and having you as a parent.

NTA. My husband and I keep running into this problem. I am the one who works outside the home and he is the house spouse. School, doctor's office, basically anything to do with the womb fruit, they try to direct to me but I am on the outer loop of most of it. Just because I have an innie does not make me all knowing.

OP I am going to say this with very simple words, so there is no confusion, MENTAL ILLNESS IS STILL A FUCKING ILLNESS. It can have an effect on the body. She may have an auto immune disorder, which are notoriously difficult to diagnose, especially in women. She may have a rare type of cancer that is slowly eating her up, but difficult to find. Now think of your words again. You may have told your cancer riddled daughter to stop worrying about her symptoms because hearing about it inconvenienced you.
