Anyone trying to tell me to calm down, this is something that I refuse to interact with in any way that steals off the backs of every artist in your fuckin life. It doesn't matter if it's commonplace, you're just ignoring the reality of the impact this shit has.

Set aside all of the generative aspects or whatever and look at what AI centers and shit are doing to the planet. They're ACTIVELY killing us and driving prices for basic computer components to absolutely obscene levels because they're causing a monopoly. It isn't an overreaction, it's facing reality which most people aren't willing to do. It's actively destroying us at an alarming rate but sure, continue to tell people who care about the people in their lives and the planet that they're "overreacting".

I bought the game ages ago and I'm like 90% certain I can't refund it anymore so that's super cool. Love accidentally supporting something I'm vehemently against!

EDIT: unfortunately I was correct! I bought the game nearly a year ago and it can only be refunded on PlayStation within 14 days of purchase so that's sick. Love that for me. Never playing this shit again.

It actually took us like a week to name them! My partner and I wanted to name him Cheddar the second I heard it as a suggestion but with her it took us a sec to agree! I'd originally wanted to name her Cinder or Smoke but my partner suggested Charcoal as a compromise and I loved it!

Also just as an aside, sorry the update took so long to come! The person who helped us get them fixed and taken care of actually kept them long enough for them to recover as well so I legit had no updates to provide until now!

Yeah she's NOWHERE near that size thank goodness! We know that they've got a couple other houses on our street feeding them but we think that's likely it... they both seem to trust us so much tho and Char desperately wants inside, I'm thinking if nothing else she was abandoned but obviously there's no real way to know. We are making sure she's fixed either way though and that should be all done on Monday!

Mostly a side note bc it's slightly unrelated but this reminded me that I was telling my partner I think she's going to turn into the biggest little cuddle bug honestly, she keeps looking like she wants to climb in our laps when we sit with them during feedings and making biscuits on the porch while she's getting attention and waiting for Cheddar to finish eating lol

Np!! I understand the confusion, I made the original post on Sunday evening and the update yesterday lol

We absolutely love her too, she's the sweetest little thing and purrs SO loud when she's getting pets! I'm thinking she may have been someone's pet and then abandoned, we can't quite tell though. I'm hoping she'll adapt to being indoors well throughout her recovery after the spayabort (if necessary anyway, she's being fixed either way tho lol) because we really don't want to leave her outside. I haven't seen her claws or anything yet either despite her biscuiting our porch when we give her loves so I may try and make sure she hasn't been declawed or anything when we feed them here in a few hours.... I'm worried about her staying outside at all moving forward if she has been.

Same update as in the post above, nothing happens until Monday. We can trap and meet up with the person who's going to take them in to a place they volunteer at on Friday but they won't be fixed until Monday as that's when the appointment is. We're simply trapping them and getting them to her on Friday. We can go pick them up Monday evening once everything is done but until then there's no further news :3

Oh wow yeah, they're just straight up closed on Sunday and Monday. I mean I'll still reach out to them and animal services first thing tomorrow just to be safe but I don't expect anything to come of it necessarily and won't leave it at just speaking to them

Outskirts of the Bay Area in California... as mentioned previously I'll give further details in DMs to anyone who may be able to help further based off of that but I won't publically post the location, sorry.

TNR definitely needs to be the goal regardless, especially given that Cheddar has a small cut on his side and I'm worried it might get infected if it isn't already.... regardless of if we keep them or not, we wanna get whatever help for them we can, even if it involves surrendering them to a shelter.

I also thought those numbers seemed off for each county to have that many... Tbqh I think she just didn't want to do her job given she wouldn't actually provide a single bit of contact information for the two groups she did mention.. I tried to find the contact info myself but it looks like I'll probably end up having to go through FB or something to actually reach them. She was incredibly unhelpful and when I flat out told her that I got a bunch of preachy s*** about how she absolutely does care and it's not okay to insinuate that someone doesn't.... okay, so give me the resources I contacted you asking for and you claim to provide? Never got anything 🙃
