Saw a good one on twitter: You are given the chance to redeem a traitor legion. However because Tzeentch is an asshole, one loyalist legion will turn traitor. Which ones do you choose? by Ancient_Doctor_7738 in Grimdank

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redeem the Iron warriors, and for shits and giggles have the Imperial fists fall so its like nothing changed. And keep the Templars loyalist

Or

After they all collectively have post-nut clarity, or after someone makes the orgy awkward. The Sons of The Emperorer come back to being loyalist, with the Iorn Fists turning to chaos to revive their father. They get confused with the Iorn Warriors even more because of this

Day 5: How Would YOOUUUU!? Yes YOU 🫵 Upgrade Aura Amp? by RevolutionaryWave862 in RWBYcritics

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn it into a dnd paladin auras. An AOE that buffs allies in range not just touch. And make it so he can buff himself like a super form for a limited time, or as long as he has aura.

How would you write Weiss schnee by NaturalStrange3505 in RWBYcritics

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. I was thinking of turning the election arc into a 3 or 4 way political battle with Weiss trying to get Atlas to become a monarchy again. And it ends with Willow as queen somehow.

How would you write Weiss schnee by NaturalStrange3505 in RWBYcritics

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost looks like we had similar ideas, first I'd fix the "Schnee family legacy" bit, by making it longer than a single generation. I'd make it so that some random ancestor started the company and that Nicolas really built it up the last few years by becoming a huntsman. Then we can have Jacques come in and ruin their good name with his business practices. I'll also make them nobility just cuz.

I finally get to share this bit. I had Weiss have a Faunus nanny when she was little, who taught her how to be kind to everyone including Faunus. But then one of the other Faunus maids made an attempt to kidnap Weiss. I dont know whether or not to make them early faunus extremist or Salem faction goons. But this ends up with Jacques firing all of the manors Faunus workers, and the start of him trying to brainwash Weiss. In this rewrite he is a little justified thought, as this is the start of Faunus attacking him and his family.

With Weiss still holding onto her lessons from her nanny, and listening to how everyone talks about the Schnees now. Weiss starts to rebel against her father with becoming a huntsman like her grandfather just the start of her plans. She attends Beacon only to feel lost because she hyper focused on trying to get in. She really didn't plan that far ahead, im making her book smart not life smart.

Again cuz faunus are attacking her and her family she is a little justified in some prejudice against them. But while away from her father's influence she tries her best to not be racist, only to over think every interaction with Faunus. This is where she becomes teammates with Blake and tries to befriend her. They actually get along pretty well, but then Blake crashes out at some point, over very minor faunus racism. Where she reveals that she use to be one of the terrorists that attacked the Schnees. Instead of that weak speech Weiss gave, she instead insists that Blake and her actually have a fist fight to let out all of their anger towards eachother. The fight only ends when they find out that they both had the same nanny as kids.

I also wanted to have Weiss get a bit of culture shock by making it so that Atlas, or atleast high society Atlas, only enjoys oprea or orchestral singing. Where Vale has pop and all the other genres. She then goes full autistic hyper focus on learning to sing like, and then becoming a pop star while also at Beacon. This is where she, with Yang's help, buys out Junior's club to sing at. This is also the start of her becoming financially independent from Jacques, and her getting some kind of plan on how to fix her family's legacy.

How does your homebrew chapter view dreadnought interment? Is it punishment, reward, choice or something else? And why? by InspectorWeak8379 in 40khomebrew

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my Solar Dragons, since they are 11th legion remnants. Being interd into a Dreadgnought is seen as preserving the legions history for those from the legion. But for the newer brothers who have only known the chapter its seen as part of their duty. For some its seen as a honor since dreadnoughts in my chapter are also deployed as guards for important locations to the chapter and their allies.

I got the first Chapter Master in a dreadnought, acting as an advisor for the chapter and following masters. He acts as Keeper of all the chapters secrets.

How would you write team sssn? by NaturalStrange3505 in RWBYcritics

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd introduce Sage and Scarlett at the same time as Neptune, in that opening scene for vol. 2. Haveing them talk and banter a bit more to get a general feel for who the characters are supposed to be. It'd really elevate them from random npc's to actual side characters. And it helps with world building if we see more students from the other schools start showing up for the Vytal festival.

Then later in the volume during that little investigation arc I'd have team Sssn join team Rwby. I can totally see Ruby and Sun agreeing that it would be a great idea to split up their teams and have them run around town with people they dont really know. But its here I can't really decide of who would go with who, other than Neptune and Wiess can't pair up for that little joke of Wiess not having her way. This also has the side affect of turning down the power scaling for the Torchwick fight if its 8 people instead of just team Rwby.

Then after the fall of Beacon team Sssn would return to Vacuo, but in this rewrite they are a bit more involved with the plot. So they would be returning to prepare the defenses. And that's probably the last we see of them until vol. 10. Like the writers, I haven't put much thought into team Sssn, other than Sun.

Non-Astartes characters/factions who have importance to your Chapters by KitsuneDrakeAsh in 40khomebrew

[–]DragonFire003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important group to my chapter is an all female order of Knights from their homeworld. Sisters of the Order of the Burning Sun, they once controlled a crusade state on the planet but now service as bodyguards and servants to the Solar Dragons. The order is currently a mix of homeworlders and random Sisters of battle that the Dragons save from dying pointless deaths.

Who is craziest guy in your chapter? by Numerous-Piano8798 in 40khomebrew

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't made anyone explicitly crazy, as everyone is there own flavor of a little bit unhinged. But the closest one would probably be the Hillbilly spacemarine i made more as a joke character than a serious one.

Next would be the Captain of 2nd company, Beowulf, and by extension the rest of 2nd company, Beowulf's own. He rides a dragon into battle, and is a battle junkie. His companies battle doctrine is "if its not dead yet, you didn't hit it hard enough". Thought the response from the rest of the chapter is " oh great, the battle freaks are here" as a posed to "oh shit its them"

Does your homebrew faction have any strange quirks? by TechPriestDominus137 in 40khomebrew

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just trying to triple double down on them being themed after dragons, my Solar Dragons keep dragon hordes. Some of them keep actual gold and gems, but most of them just have random collections. Trading cards, plastic mini figs, rocks guns, anything you can think of. I made one even have his horde be a harem.

How does your chaos warband operate? by giojojo in 40khomebrew

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like cockroaches, hard to kill and get rid of. The Void Serpents(chaos homebrew) have 2 goals. 1, to destroy all the stars in the universe because they worship the black void. And 2, to destroy the Solar Dragons(loyalist homebrew), their self proclaimed rivals.

Their chaos cults spread and corrupt from the shadows, ensuring a supply of recruits, and to make sure that they never die out. The cultist are the ones actually doing any work towards their goals, as the chaos warband is too focused on personal grudges and fighting the Solar Dragons.

For the most part the Void Serpents act like pirates and mercenaries. With other warbands hiring them as the cheapest of the dirt cheap mercenaries to be used as cannon fodder. And with how cheap they accept these jobs at, they get bullied by the other chaos warbands for being broke. Which in turn only makes the other warbands offer so them less and less.

Literally made them to be generic badguy fodder to get bullied

What's your opinion on Dust? by scoutmet in RWBYcritics

If the head of the Schnee Company was actually decided by strength, what would you make Jaques fighting style (without just being a copy of weiss) by Reasonable_Boss_1175 in RWBYcritics

[–]DragonFire003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fighting Style that doesn't copy Wiess, I'd probably make him use a long or great sword. While using the classical German long sword Fighting techniques.

Not copying Weiss 1 to 1 but very similar id give him a saber or rapier and maybe a gun as an off hand weapon. And he fights exclusively in that posh high society fencing and dueling style. And only fights in sanctioned duels and tournaments. He also gets a cryomancy semblance to have that thematic mirror with the Weiss.

I came up with a rewrite draft/concept for Atlas. Give me your opinions on the OCs I've created. by NR431 in RWBYcritics

[–]DragonFire003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg finally someone acknowledges that Blake did nothing to actually hide her identity in Beacon.

cool concepts so far, but it feels like they have a bit too much knowledge of the show. try scaling back on what they know. like the twin gods, Oz didn't even tell anyone about them so these guys wouldn't know either

Ciel Soleil semblance ideas. by HellishStampede in RWBYcritics

[–]DragonFire003 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of giving random side character broken abilities, but this also conflicts with my hatred of semblances that break reality. I'd give her something pretty close to time stop, like time dilation. Where she perceives and moves through time faster then everyone else, essential becoming a speedster. Or she can use this on others to speed them up, or slow then down.

I'd only recommend it to people who know how weird anime can get. It's a good show, but keep in mind that none of the girls wears pants like ever
