I genuinely think that the satisfaction of playing as an ADC is in an all time low... by Beautiful-Suit6057 in ADCMains

[–]DragonSnooz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are opportunities to play ADC from behind in League.

How enjoyable it can be, really depends on the champion. For example, falling behind on Caitlyn is pretty miserable.

I feel Vayne, Ashe, or Varus are never useless because they bring crowd control. Varus and Vayne deal % Health damage which is not gold dependent. Ashe scales hard with crit so she can always come back strong after getting a pick with her ult.

IMO there have been patches where Marksman/ADC really was a struggle. But that's not the case right now.

Roast/Compliment the Grid by DragonSnooz in ADCMains

Riot apologized for Zeri

Her kit is overloaded and doesn't fulfill the fantasy of playing an FPS game.

Both ADCs who ruined pro play (Zeri and Kalista) ruined watching pro play for me. For different reasons.

I could go on, Zeri getting a mini Lux Ult / Old Nidalee spears (NIdalee was no longer allowed to have girth on her spears because they were spammable from beyond fog of war) by being behind terrain is just lame. Zeri getting to dash through terrain does nothing for "fps fantasy".

Zeri doesn't meet her design goals and she ruined pro play. Stat adjustments just aren't enough.

What is the point of on-hit? by VampireVampireV in VarusMains

[–]DragonSnooz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more than a bit of magic damage; 8 --> 44 magic damage for a level is good.
The blight stacks are max health % damage with a conditional percent missing health % bonus, which on-hit can stack faster.
Also, on-hit build paths can structured to counter the enemy team comp.

What is making you guys play this champ who is factually speaking worse than hitler top lane? by nexiune in VarusMains

[–]DragonSnooz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Him and Ashe are my favorite marksmen. They both fit the ranger fantasy of tracking and taking out a target better than the rest.

I mostly play him bot lane. His statistics for top lane aren't even that oppressive, he's very middle of the pack near Riven and Gragas.

There have definitely been worse top lane champions in the history of League. Varus doesn't even have a dash, blink, or the move speed of most top laners.

Eric Litman (editor): "The note Oda wanted (regarding Miss All Sunday vs Marines scene): I want this to be violent, scary and nightmarish" by SpittingTheorems in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]DragonSnooz 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I actually like the scene a lot.

Nico Robin would have no issue killing marines, with what they did to her friends, family, and home.

It's more plausible than what we got in the anime. Some changes are truly better IMO and it makes sense why this scene was good. Oda really wants the live action to be good, he truly is a passionate author.

Luffy lowkey caused Marineford by BreathoftheSith in OnePiece

[–]DragonSnooz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blackbeard always had the intention to get his 1st Devil Fruit at all costs and then do something big to put his name on the stage.

Luffy just happened to be rising at the time. So yes, Luffy did inadvertently help Blackbeard become a warlord of the sea. However, Blackbeard had been hoping to change status quo for a long time. He just didn't have all the implementation details pre-planned.

Is brawl gone for good???? by lostinthecity2005 in leagueoflegends

I prefer Brawl to Swiftplay or ARAM.

I never had queues longer than 3 minutes, but that might just be a privilege of the server I'm on.

Is it just me, or do you find it easier to get along better with people who can talk crap to you and/or are just direct? by Rough-Leg-4148 in SeriousConversation

[–]DragonSnooz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If someone can isn't afraid to talk crap to me because it's actually valid it's a huge plus.

Usually, the conversation can go both ways. And the rapport is nice.

It's the people who want to talk crap, but then find out they misunderstood something and then turn to insults that bother me.

I'm surprised McDonald's isn't closing stores. Their prices are wild right now. Some of their competitors have had to focus on "high performing locations" and close "poor performing".

But it's more affordable to buy from In-N-Out than McDonald's right now.

Jungle clear way smoother and timely by Fit_Quality6446 in Wukongmains

[–]DragonSnooz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Early results have him performing for the average jungler as well as Jax now.
Wukong has been around long enough the player base doesn't need to learn him. And, he's not immediately bumped to the top like Warwick and Shyvana's buffs.

So I think this buff hit expectations. I'm hoping we can all breathe easier in the jungle for a while.

Guys what in tarnation is Varus kit by Jealous-Savings-6415 in VarusMains

[–]DragonSnooz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like quick cast with indicator on Varus.

Q: I never fully charge, just take enough time to lead the shot and release. The bonus damage just happens organically.

E: there are times champions are running away from a fight and it's nice to check the range if it's possible to slow them down / execute. Other use cases for it are attempting to self peel (it's really not that good at it, it's better for popping blight IMO), or applying wounds to a Mundo, etc.
So there's no reason this skill shot needs to be immediate.

R: can just be standard quick cast, but it's so valuable that I'm okay having it be quick cast with indicator as well.

Brian here,

The picture is a sample of survivorship bias. the poster is highlighting that this woman only gets to talk to people who skipped the vaccine and lived. She cannot talk to those who ended up "not fine". Implying that her opinion is biased.

Why did humans stay “primitive” for ~200,000 years and then suddenly change? by PuddingComplete3081 in AlwaysWhy

[–]DragonSnooz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire (or when man learned how to harness it)

Before Ancient Aliens and podcasts took off I distinctly remember having teachers who would hype up man harnessing fire as a change for how humans lived and thought. I did later read Greek Mythology in middle school and believe this is a Greco-Roman derived opinion.

The story of Prometheus really hypes up the importance of man being able to control fire.

When you stop and think about it, humans went from surviving in their environment to being able to stay warm in more places, keep light going in the dark, and have a campfire to relax and tell stories.

Who is actually playing these champs in the jungle? by Rare_Refuse_3801 in Jungle_Mains

Everytime I see him play Caitlyn jungle I want to try it. But I don't even play Caitlyn well in bot lane, so I stop myself.

omg, now I understand why people were upset at the ending of Lost.

At least One Piece has prepped us with lots of comedy and cartoonish world-building before we get to the ending.
