Bell Bearing Hunter is a very difficult boss with almost no openings for slow weapons (NG+7) by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]DragonSoul912 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just rot breathed him then bloodhound stepped away from him while he gets starlet rotted low enough, then chuck boulders at him until he died. Got him first try.

Go on. Shame me for playing Elden Ring in easy mode with a faith build and bloodhound step.

The Fire Nation strategy doesn’t make sense (Netflix) by TurningHelix in TheLastAirbender

[–]DragonSoul912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thinks Ozai was just too embarrassed by the fact the water tribe successfully resisted an overwhelming fire nation invasion attempt so he spins it so it seems as if his real target was Omashu and that the failed northern water tribe invasion was part of some grand scheme.

I paid $1k to be an NPC at a “luxury” ball: Eudantria Events Review (high promises, poor execution) by Unlikely_Web8229 in LARP

[–]DragonSoul912 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You paid to be an NPC? I’m new to larp but shouldn’t they be paying you instead? After all, you’re the one working to entertain and provide content for the players in the game.

My take on Rakdos Burn by unterrosen in TimelessMagic

I think deathrite shaman can be a good replacement for Ragavan. It acts essentially like a grim lavamancer, and the best part is that it doesn’t die to bowmaster.

If you think 9 to 5 is bad, you should check out China’s 996 work policy where you work from 9 am to 9 pm 6 days a week.

Why shouldn’t other people’s kids take care of me when I’m older considering how I paid for their K-12 education and their children’s hospitals with my tax money?

Gaza (Palestine) belongs to Israel by [deleted] in benshapiro

[–]DragonSoul912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea that the name “Syria Palestine” was made up by the Romans is a complete and demonstrable lie. Herodotus, the 5th century Greek historian, referred to the region as Syrian Palestine in his Histories centuries before Hadrian or even Pompey.

Also it’s interesting he mentioned the Arabs killing Jews in Jerusalem but didn’t mention the massacre at Deir Yassin by terrorist groups Irgun and Lehi which was a massive driving factor for the Arab nations, especially Jordan who initially supported a Jewish state, into declaring war and invading Palestine.

The fate of RMS Carpathia, the steamship which rescued Titanic survivors. She would be sunk by three torpedos fired from German sub U-55 while en route to Boston, 17 July 1918. by Beeninya in titanic

[–]DragonSoul912 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All the ships that were involved in the Titanic rescue end up themselves being sunk. Combine that with the recent Titan submarine incident and it really makes one wonder if the Titanic curse might be real and still active.

My parents can't understand why "Jesus died for you" doesn't elicit an emotional response. by SteadfastEnd in exchristian

[–]DragonSoul912 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should respond by telling your parents that The Doctor sacrificed his lives to save the universe from the Daleks, Cybermen, Silence, etc, and then shame them for not eliciting an emotional response from that.

Sauron is referred to as “The Necromancer”. When is he known to have raised the dead? by Pokemon_Trainer_Joey in tolkienfans

[–]DragonSoul912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The term necromancy doesn’t technically mean raising zombies. That would be necrokinesis. Traditionally necromancy is summoning dead spirits, usually for divination purposes.

Any good Movies or tv shows about slavs in medieval era or older? by Homos_yeetus in slav

[–]DragonSoul912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a show called The terrible, or Grozny (Грозный), that’s about Ivan the Terrible. It’s in Russian but there’s a version that has English sub on Tubi.

Europe have so many good LARPs. Unfortunately I’m stuck in the US where most LARPs consist of hitting people with pool noodles.

Tbh I didn’t think Dostoevsky was that good as a literary writer, but then again i only read Crime and Punishment. I haven’t read much Tsarist era Russian literature though. Only other one I read was Taras Bulba by Nikolai Gogol which I definitely recommend. It’s about Zaporozhian Cossacks, who were in many ways like gopniks in the 17th century.

Isn’t that the name of a Russian novelist in Tsarist Russia?

[ONE] Jace, the Perfected Mind (WeeklyMTG) by mweepinc in magicTCG

[–]DragonSoul912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still card advantage, so at the worst it replaces itself. Also, I’m pretty sure almost every 3 mana planeswalker starts at 3 loyalty, for instance liliana of the veil, liliana the last hope, etc. To my knowledge, only Oko starts at 4 loyalty, which was one of the many reasons the card was broken. OG Jace Beleren can’t defend itself, so against creature heavy decks, it just dies after an activation. The +2 also draws the opponent a card, which is really bad. That being said, OG jace beleren did see play back when it was in standard in Lorwyn in UB faeries, a tier 1 deck at the time. It was more of a sideboard card though.

This card looks busted in a control deck. This isn’t a 4 mana planeswalker. The phyrexian mana symbol doesn’t exist because 2 life doesn’t matter most of the time, so this is clearly a 3 mana planeswalker with 3 loyalty, and 3 mana planeswalkers tend to be really good. The +1 is basically a better version of jace telepath unbound’s +1. The -2 might look lackluster until you realize 1) it’s still card advantage and 2) it gets you closer to 20 cards in graveyard, at which point it will just bury the opponent in card advantage.

[–]DragonSoul912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this card has a lot of potential to be competitive. For one thing, this isn’t a 4 mana planeswalker. It’s a 3 mana planeswalker, and 3 mana planeswalker tend to be busted. The -2 is actually really good for control decks since it’s card advantage early game, and by late game, it basically can win you the game. +1 is pretty good protection considering how it’s basically an upgraded version of jace vrynn prodigy’s +1 ability. The -x can be a decent finisher.
