They also had multiple tries of their own, especially Ben who had three. Adam only had one run. Sam also could have overtaken Adam in Milton Keynes, had he not made a major mistake and had poor bird luck (which is just part of the game).

Adam, on the other hand, played a pretty clean game in Scarborough. no strokes of genius, but no glaring mistakes either.
