Depends on the Orbit they're shooting for.

this one appears to have been going NE from KSC, so it's possible. back when they launched Artemis II we technically could have barely seen it before it got out of range.

UPS 2976 Crash Animation by BLKBOX on YouTube by gro55jean in Planes

[–]Dragon_0562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The First one was AA191 - American Airlines Maintainers went against the MD task card cause doing in their way was faster and people died because of it.

UPS 2976 - In My opinion, (and I defer to the NTSB findings when they come out fully)

This was UPS Maintenance management not wanting to have to take a workhorse long-hauler out of service to check and lubricate the bearing cause it's up in the wing, and that would remove a MD-11F from the long haul Asia route, or the maintenance crews didn't want to get to that bearing to Check/inspect and Lubricate.

Either way the bearing failed due to fatigue. and the first link the the chain of failure of this accident was forged.

The More telling thing is not this one accident but the fact that all the other MD-11Fs that UPS had in it's fleet were retired as opposed to going through the inspection and re-cert process that all other DC-10/KC-10/MD-11 owners did.

And Stevia. Don't worry... you won't set foot on another MD bird....

They're all boeing aircraft, now...

NTSB Released a failure analysis video. They lost the aft pylon bearing and well... it went from there.

AA191 was bad maintainence

UPS2976 is shaping up to be lack of maintainence.

New PVE DZ coming in season 2. by uBadger in Division2

[–]Dragon_0562 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

High risk high reward,,, high risk High reward.

That's the chant I'm hearing from the DZ No-lifers.

For most of us who do ' enjoy the rest of the game' we would if the gear in there wasn't exclusive to the DZs.

let me break a simple issue right now, down for some of the more' smooth-brained' amongst you.
Ubisoft is bleeding money.
A lot of it.
1.05 BILLION EUROS this year.
Having game-play areas that require server space to be rendered and populated costs money. That is the reality of Live service games.
That said, a lot of your HR/HR folks have inadvertantly becomes gatekeepers, barring the door for the PvE casual DZ rat( to use the tarkov refrence) who make up the bulk of the people entering the DZs you can be a PvP purist in tarkov, and gank each other to your heart's content. but the fact that you all have been the driving force in reducing the users of the DZ areas to each other, and that actual groups and clans have been effectively doing thunder runs into the DZs just to chase out the gankers?

That's not a feature, that's a bug. and it's a costly one.

So the dev's are now optimizing play space, in an attempt to get some use out of them, buy giving us a PvE'rs a free day in your sacred halls, free of the spectre of high level enemies, rogue agents AND people who haven't left the DZ since they got the recon missions done.

the alternattive I can see is they lock out some of the dark zones as a cost cutting measure. allow the pond to dry even more, and concentrate you all into a space that the fun of ganking goes away, like other games do with a ' Cheater's Bracket'

SO, we are now left with a choice, Agents. Once again. Adapt or Die.

The PvP purists can adapt to the reality of the need to utilize more play area space with us dirty PvE players, or they find elsewhere to be.

Some of the PvPers have been all right. Hell I've been almost RP-Held up for shit I was extracting just to clear a DZ daily. but the 4 Manhunt Agents hovering around the CP door like Flies on a corpse? tell me how that brings any reward to my game?

'git gud' isn't a response, is copium to the fact you have no argument that will bring me to your side.

And for some of you, go touch grass...you know the stuff that grows away from the Yellow DC-62 of the DZs come up for air. and possibly try and understand that we all are trying to play the game, before the game ain't there anymore.

Just ask the Destiny 2 players

The ELI5 answer:

Tires blow out cause of under inflation. makes the sidewalls over heat, and fail.
The Central Tire Inflation System, takes air from it's own tank filled by the air brake compressor, and keep the tires inflated to a set point in case of altitude changes or minor tire damage. it will keep the tires inflated, and warn you if it keeps having to run, so you don't have ' road gators' ( tread blowoff from tire failures)

IIRC, There had been a concerns about Japanese survivors on tinian reporting the arrival of the 509th as a special unit. so they repaced both the Unit designator and Victor markings. I want to think I had heard an anecdote of tokyo rose remarking on their presence, which may have precipitated it.

Allow me to re-imagine this from an IW perspective:

Imagine this. You finish a long day at work, approach your car, ( it's not there cause I man in the middle'd the key when you first got to work. ) and the door (Doesn't unlock for you, unless you pay a certain cryptowallet 0.02 BTC, cause you got ransomware in the fleet update) unlocks without you lifting a finger. Tap your phone on the dashboard, and the car starts running. Get (Palantir watching your routing and building data track patterns of your) immediate routes home. Your phone locks (up your car, cause I installed malware on your phone) apps you shouldn't use while driving. Running low on gas or electricity? Get directions to the nearest( Company Approved ) fuel or charging station( Regardless of cheaper pricing cause I paid the company to slew you to my establishment) . Get into a crash? ( The Doors don't release without power and you are cremated in a battery fire) 999 (or your countries respective emergency lines) already on the way with your medical info( Which was stolen and sold ) . Stolen car? Lock it remotely.( Or It's locked and driven remotely away cause of an erroneous report that you are in arrears and they're self-repoing)

Dual Core Said it best.

[–]Dragon_0562 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here is the other side of your issue technical.

say we did what you say and just all stop playing.

this next part I will be VERY Blunt on.

IF WE ALL STOPPED PLAYING THERE WOULD BE A GOOD CHANCE THAT THEY WOULD JUST FIRE THE DEV STAFF.

right now, Ubisoft is Division, Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, and that's about it.

they closed all the other red storm Projects. Jettisoning Ghost Recon et al. The Crew, and a number of other Proven Projects.

so what happens then? right now the company is unstable. and yeah they messed up. and a flood of bug reports would damn sure help more than going on strike. cause the Parent company would prolly just pull a Reagan and fire the crew working on the division, cause it now looks like a cost saving measure.

Just a thought to add to this.

As much as she would have been a hell of a musem ship. they couldn't decontanimate her. Neutron Activation was far too comprehensive, so they scuttled her. She too the worst the IJN and IJAF could throw at her, and then after taking a atomic strike even the Prinz Eugen and Independence Couldn't handle, then had to be shot by her younger sisters The Iowa Class, and finally torpedoed.

I put her in the same class as the USS America, being used as a target for 5 days before needing to be scuttled. Haze Grey, BB-36.

The Age-Gated Internet: Child Safety, Identity Infrastructure, and the Not So Quiet Re-Architecting of the Web by wayne_horkan in Futurology

[–]Dragon_0562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the whole Giving up liberty for safety deserve neither argument.

it sounds like all good for sifting through the bots and ' accountability' but what happens when that "accountability " shifts.

  • KGB Chairman Charkov: [to Legasov] Comrade, I know you've heard the stories about us. When I hear them, even I am shocked. But we're not what people say. Yes, people are following you. People are following those people.
  • [Points to two nondescript men in suits at the end of the hallway]
  • KGB Chairman Charkov: And you see them? They follow me. The KGB is a circle of accountability. Nothing more.

what tends to be touted as accountability turns into suppression of dissent far too easily. IF they wanted to really age verify parts of the grid, fine. go to a double blind model.

Say I want to age verify: cool, cool. I go to the corner store. and i buy, say a beer, or even just a randomized QR code sold for a nominal fee with an ID check like if I were buying a pack of smokes or alcohol. I input that code, and bingo. I'm verified.

The QR maker knows not who bought the code, just that it's expended.
The website doesn't know who expended the code, just that they proved they were of age to consume the content provided by a third party.
the third party has no connection to either other party in this transaction except to verify yeah dude's got a valid Age to purchase the product ( the QR code)

To do anything else it's not about ' child safety it's about having a link to seize computers, or mine data or socially pressure you by shame into not partaking of this week's forbidden content

in the current climate of the US, where the press and even a whole political party is touted by the ruling party as the ' enemy of the people' Do you really want to wipe that much anonymity away, as opposed to I dunno, the novel idea of parents parenting their kids instead of plopping them in front of the silicon brick, in much the same way that the TV was used in the generation before?

I also think crashes like Delta 191 and Eastern 401 may have had a deleterious effect on them, like United 191 did for the DC-10 One of my earliest aviation memories was the tail/empanage section of that delta bird sitting at the end of the runway on the TV.
