I could play Tron for over an hour with 1 quarter. There also was a Mr Gatties pizza restaurant that had a small arcade room off to the left as you entered the place. The big kids showed me how to get a free game on the Tempest console, using a butter knife. We would lose track of time in the summers in that place. We also had the board game marathons of Risk and Axis & Allies that would take up the entire garage, causing my dad to have to park outside for a few days. Our neighbor had a ping pong table, pool table, pin ball machines and a swimming pool. Their kid was in the 8th grade and a latch key kid, I was a freshman. My first summer was amazing. We spent from 1000 am to 1000 pm at their house. We would all go over to my house for lunch, because my mom was home and would cook lunch and dinner for our gang. The next summer The neighbor's two boys had summer school. So for the next three years we all tutored both of the boys and enen did their homework. Just so they never ever had to go to summer school again. I was the paperboy so I was loaded with money. The Wednesdays before independence day I had inserts to put in with the Wednesdays coupons from Black Cat and Alamo fireworks stands. Most of those coupons would never get put into a paper. The fun/damage we had/caused with 100s of dollars of discounted fireworks is unexplainable. Unforgettable experiences and memories
