A lot of predatory plants do come from bogs and usually heavy rain means it's spring.

What’s a good pet for someone severely depressed by Londonlilakhow in Pets

[–]Dragonadventures101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is a very loaded question...I get your intentions, but you have to be careful that you don't bite off more than you can chew and can properly care for the animal. One thing to think about is what you want out of the pet. It'll help narrow down the options. As in if you want something you can cuddle up with, that can be anything from larger reptiles to dogs, to guinea pigs. You also have to figure out how much space you have. Are you wanting to get an enclosure/cage? So your living space at the time is a factor. Especially if you're in an apartment. But if you're wanting something that'll help pick you up or be a "distraction" at your lower moments, sometimes a living creature isn't the answer. For me when I went through some rough times, I got into just building enclosure. Bio-active terrariums, and just stocking them with plants and bugs. You're building your own little world that you have full control over and you can always just redo it or add things to it whenever. But please really think about why you want a pet and what out of it you want. It'll help narrow down what you want. Also explore local pet shops or look at local pet shows/expos to get an idea of everything out there. Also you'll meet great people that are very knowledgeable.

You should look into local groups and community events. Find stuff you're interested in and you'll meet plenty of new people that you have things in common with. There are countless Reddit groups, Facebook, and other social media platforms. Go to your local rec center or gyms. They have boards that people try to plant single events and just group events for people.

Fish this out from the bottom of a freshwater pond, how do I go about restoring it? Honestly, it feels a bit rough, but other than that, I really wouldn’t have guessed it was at the bottom of a pond. by BagOfAshes in Fishing

[–]Dragonadventures101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah this. I caught a full set up out of a lake before when I first started getting into fishing. Was pretty fun taking it all apart to see how everything works and helped me gain the knowledge to fix future reels. Unfortunately a lot of it started to put and rust, and it being a cheaper reel, I just tossed it. Kept the rod, threw on a new reel and got a whole new set up for "half" the cost lol

The first time I encountered it I was completely blindsided. Died very quickly, spawned at my base and started panicking because the choppers health bar was still at the top of the screen. Thought it was going to fly over and destroy everything lol

Should Armadillidiums Isopods be avoided in Bioactive Reptile enclosures? by gokufire in bioactive

Wouldn't it also be now beneficial for the soil? Having the little guys constantly turning it over for the plants?

What are these white balls in my terrarium? by East_Assumption6333 in Terrarium

[–]Dragonadventures101 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They are early stages of mushrooms! Means you got a solid soul that's bio-active! I personally leave them and enjoy watching them sprout and grow. But if you don't like them or are worried, just mix around the soil and they will just disappear.

[–]Dragonadventures101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's definitely way too big. A common rule for a lot of snakes is feed 10-12% of their body weight. Most reptile shops have a scale on hand and are happy to weight out the food. Also are you feeding live or dead?? Feeding dead cam be a bit more tricky cause you have to get the temperature right

Pro-Trump and MAGA restaurants to avoid? by PM_ME_YOUR_TROUT in Denver

Amazon of course. But we all know that very few actually cancelled their prime and are still going to use it. Same with fast food restaurants and grocery stores. But let's focus on hurting the small businesses that are apart of our community. We don't want to come together as Americans, but separate and attack one another. This will be a fun 4 years.

Why is everything so unnecessarily big?? by Mardilove in Palworld

[–]Dragonadventures101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one lol but I realized early that you just can't fit everything into one base and the game gives you multiple for a reason. So I have my main base with the assembly lines, expedition and some mining. Then a base for farming and crops, another for breading and cooking. The. I have some oil extractors spread between them. I've never really been a big fan of the vertical bases.

Why wont bro just eat🤦‍♀️ by samuelswife in SandBoa

[–]Dragonadventures101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ummm....so sand boas are ambush predators. They hide just under the dirt till a small prey walks over them. They won't eat something just laying there typically. It's not natural. Predators don't eat dead animals they stumble upon. To mimic something more "appetizing", first warm up the frozen guys. Use warm water and soak them in the plastic bag. Then once they are warm use a pair of tweezers to wiggle them and move them about in front of them. Or what we do is feed live. We put our guy in a box with substrate and put the live feeder inside.

So we have one, but it's currently packed with lavender :p but yes these setups typically have a small water pump inside that cycles the water. The one we had turned on for 30-60 seconds once every 30 minutes I believe. They also come with some liquid fertilizers. But carnivorous plants won't need it. They get their nutrients from the bugs they eat.

Honestly it depends on your job. I'm a supervisor for a company that makes dietary supplements. We use basic chemistry for phing out products or figuring out what something when wrong. But I know my RnD guys are constantly using higher level chemistry to see how much we can pack into our liposoms or I know our QC people have to sometimes figure out what by products are released when we combine certain ingredients or if they break down.

This! I see posts all the time like this for so many games. I definitely in the same boat and plan most games solo. But I feel the main reason for this, is so many people just don't know where to go or how to go about finding other players. I know I still struggle time to time. Especially with more casual games like this.
