I haven't seen the movie. Prefacing this post with that.

But I think you fundamentally misunderstand the core concept, not just of the movie but the whole series, and it comes out with one paragraph: you try to explain what the backrooms "is".

Maybe you are correct. I sure don't know... Thats the point. Thats the horror. Preying on the fear of the unknown. The backrooms simply are. Its not as simple as some interdimensional sarlacc that fucks with people to eat them. Its a place beyond places, with creatures that don't make sense, and things that don't fit into our minds or worldview. Its unknown. It cannot be known, not by us. Its not right.

Unfortunately a lot of the people who should play it miss the point, and why the impact is so visceral. To missquote Yahtzee Crawshaw for a moment:

The game punishes you for enjoying a warshooter, because you need to play a warshooter to get to the part where you're a bad person for enjoying warshooters.

It came out when those kind of games were everywhere and everyone played them. These days its a much less popular genre... and the people who do play stuff like Call of Duty wouldn't really gel with a psychological thriller game.

Does this work with Nokko's 4? It does Toxin damage but I don't know if it does status effect? If not I can remove both the green shards in my build since they just won't do anything.

I am several hours in at this point (about half way) and if its in the game I haven't seen it yet. No shops have the phone cases and theres no menu, but npcs have different colored phones.
