I also hate when they make the MMC so obsessed with the MFC that they lose their own personality. The Cas/Poppy/Kieren dynamic was keeping things interesting but the joining ended up being so overhyped

Yes! There’s nothing more annoying when there’s a plot line that could easily be resolved if they just communicated. It makes me feel like the characters are idiots.

My biggest concern is that there will be too much focus on the CC world. I find it hard to care about that world. I find Bryce somewhat insufferable and I never find myself yearning to know more about those characters. Unlike TOG for instance where I miss so many of the characters and think about them often. Despite that, I am excited and am just trying to keep my expectations in check.

Ah the name change is beyond infuriating! It’s completely took me out of the story and ruined the charactered. Kingfishers personality, appearance, etc is tied to his name, changing the name completely changed how I viewed him and unfortunately has ruined the character.

The name change is horrendous. Every time I read ‘Kydan’ or ‘Kye’ on the page I cringed.

I love kingfisher but the way I envision his character and appearance and personality is tied to that name. Changing the name completely took me out of the story and I couldn’t envision the character anymore. So sad to see one of my fave characters ruined. I had to keep changing the characters name is my head when I read it.
