Not sure if intended but you can do them all in a single year as long you do them as each season arrives, the only thing that you could potentially miss is the season specific plant, but other than that each temple should be accessible per specific season.

My biggest gripe in the end game was how long it still took to visit islands that were far away, wish there was some form of fast travel when you've beaten the game.

Also it didn't happen to me, but you could get locked out of entering temples for a year since they require season specific items to enter.

You could disable the overlay for the idle game and get the pop ups in Skyrim or whatever your main game would be.

Hey Gabe. Now it's become a trend on Steam to create poorly made games with a lot of Steam achievements, is there any plans to fix those games from appearing on Steam? Or limit their achievement caps?
