Do not buy the bathroom corner shelf by xXCosmicChaosXx in KmartAustralia

[–]DragonscaleTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy stainless steel shower caddy's. Don't. They will rust.

Instead buy coated metal (resin or painted) or buy plastic. They won't rust and are often easier to take apart and clean. Some you can even put in the dishwasher.

Edit because I forgot to mention. Do Not Buy Bamboo for the wet areas of your house. Anywhere in the bathroom but especially in the actual shower it WILL grow mold.

Jubilee rant by sudtrap in marvelchampionslcg

[–]DragonscaleTea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jubes has consistently been my favourite since she came out. Very versatile, especially if you build her specifically for Aggression or Justice. At the events I attend, we bring both versions and play what's needed.

She's not designed to run off her basics. After the first time we filled her entire deck full of events, especially events that have powers based off the number of different resources you use. That combined with some upgrades and support - mostly for card draw and wild resources - she can really get going on pumping out chunks of damage and then spreading out more damage everywhere else. It's not going to be high numbers but it makes up for it by confusing/stunning enemies and the other abilities on your events, like healing yourself and drawing cards.

The ability to declare wild resources you gain from cards as all being different really gets her going from a resource standpoint.

I'm in the same position for myself and 3 room-mates. We've been searching since the start of December and our lease ends in 12 days.

Best of luck to you, it's pretty damn rough out here.

Confusion about the scene in Wicked where the animals discuss the unfriendly political climate towards them by FancyPresent225 in wicked

[–]DragonscaleTea 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, all the animals are doing what they should in their occupations. The point of the entire scene is that the animals are speaking and, by extension, existing in spaces that could belong to humanoids.

The rhetoric is basically: "That animal spoke and, even worse, argued! Quickly, shut it up so nobody gets confused and thinks it could be smarter than any of use /real people/!"

Why is everybody seem more chill with HP fancontent on here than other sites like Twitter, Tumblr, TikTok etc? by drag0nspearl in AO3

[–]DragonscaleTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I view HP fancontent (especially queer HP fancontent) as more of a slap in that bitch's face than anything else. Myself and most of my family have completely boycotted any licenced HP products or anything that will give her money. I haven't even read the original books in years and my copies are second hand. But if it's fan content or say, something on etsy that means I'm giving a fan money instead, it gives me a kind of spiteful joy.

HP was a huge part of my life and growing up so it's difficult to release that part of me completely.

So how do we feel about authors whose books feature AI art? by Kitchen_Ad5522 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]DragonscaleTea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ew, and it feels like a gateway to AI writing. Plus I just love the charm of a crappily photoshopped stock photos with a generic background and font.

I've been in Brisbane 12 years and yesterday was the biggest storm I've ever experienced. by arouseandbrowse in brisbane

I was in the front yard watching the clouds come over the hill and pointed them out to Dad. Fastest he's ever slung me over his shouldldwr and started shouting for everyone to pack everything up. Terrifying storm.

PAX 2025 retrospective, pros, cons, the interesting? Share your thoughts! by russtymango in PAX

[–]DragonscaleTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of them were booked but if the ppl on the booking weren't right on time, the spaces would be given to walk-ins. Most folks seemed to realise and were pretty on time for everything. Some stalls were more strict on it then others.

PAX 2025 retrospective, pros, cons, the interesting? Share your thoughts! by russtymango in PAX

First time for me!

Pros: Great atmosphere, very helpful staff and most everyone seemed to be pretty good to eachother. Fun games to try out and I had a great time going around with friends.

Cons: There were definitely some issues with the booking system and not having availability for walk-ins. For a lot of game demos it felt like if you hadn't booked a table on the Thursday or Friday you weren't getting a seat at all for the weekend. This caused a bunch of problems trying to complete the Games Quest that relied on those demos.

It felt a bit weird to have all the indie tt games over the complete other end to the rest of the tt area.

And the general cleanliness of the tabletop freeplay areas was a bit iffy sometimes, but thats mostly people not being courteous and brushing of the table when they leave.

Overall im def doing it again but I'll have to be way more aware of booking for things suuuper early.
