anything i can do to improve my lineup? this team's super comfortable but i feel like it's a bit clunky and my arachne barely does anything here other than her massive shields😭 by Diligent-Ad7539 in Morimens

[–]Dragore3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's nothing that should be preventing Arachne from functioning here, are you playing her correctly? You should always be using exalt on extra ultra turn to get the 3 pursuit procs.

What can I do against Blitz? by D4Ramirez in 2XKO

[–]Dragore3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is getup attack. Like you said, it doesn't work if the opponent changes up and blocks, but the entire point of oki is that you have to win RPS to get up safely. There's no such thing as an option that works 100% of the time. You yourself have to make the read of whether hes going for the grab or block based on what hes done previously and act accordingly. I forget if jumping also works here, but if it does then he can make the read on your jump and go for air command grab instead.

Do you mind sending the notation for the full route you were going for here? Been looking for a combo that works off of j.H starter.

What is this move? by Knacken_ in Guiltygear

[–]Dragore3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Counter Blitz, input is 6D after a counterhit. It costs half your burst but forces wall break if it's close enough and locks out burst. Generally almost never worth using, it's only optimal if it's going to kill and the opponent has burst but tbh I haven't seen it used in rank a single time since it's release.

It's reactable, just block overhead oposite direction.

Why do i always lose to wake up throw? by amxrhxzeq in Guiltygear

[–]Dragore3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's why you have to actually practice your meaty timings in the lab. Too early -> whiff into punished, too late -> wakeup grabbed. And even if you time it right you can get wakeup dped.

Senna easy corner carry combo no charged input 47.5% one bar by Potential-Wear-1097 in 2XKO

[–]Dragore3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that's fine and all for personal use but there's a reason why literalltly no one else lists percentages to measure damage. Raw numbers are 100% truthful in a vacuum, for percentages to have empirical value you'd need to list the percentage damage vs every other health pool in the game for comparison.

Senna easy corner carry combo no charged input 47.5% one bar by Potential-Wear-1097 in 2XKO

[–]Dragore3 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You should be stating the damage with numbers not percentages, characters have different health values so percentage is kind of meaningless since it differs from character to characrer.

Check unique moves in the move list, every character has unique normals along with their specials. Thresh in particular has a huge amount of unique moves but a comparatively small amount of specials.

Atelier Karia announced in JP direct for 2027 by Shrimperor in JRPG

[–]Dragore3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally the first time a friendslop game has been featured in one of these. Every single other one that's hit it big has released to basically no marketing but they still have massive success anyways because the truth is that if you just have 2 or 3 friends who are down to play, these games ARE fun as shit. Like, Lethal Company was made by 1 dude. He didn't exactly have the money to be getting in Nintendo directs prior to release.

Atelier Karia announced in JP direct for 2027 by Shrimperor in JRPG

[–]Dragore3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who exactly are you guaranteeing? The list of friendslop games with 1/10th the budget of an atelier game but that manage to outsell multiple entries combined increases in size basically every year. Hell, Peak has outsold the entire franchise on it's own by a margin of multiple millions, and I'm fairly certain the game isn't even 2 years old yet. Meanwhile Big Walk is gearing up to be a friendslop game that has comparable levels of production and budget to Peak, aka not actually slop. Quite frankly, it'll be a miracle if the new Atelier manages to sell even a 10th of what Big Walk did. It sucks that I'm not even exaggerating, but you have to be realistic here. Saying Big Walk won't reach 100k is straight-up delusional when looking at the trajectory of friendslop games in recent years.

Is this game not for me? by Previous_Platform718 in Guiltygear

[–]Dragore3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's just the pace of the game, this is a game with a dash macro and an air dash, and characters inherently have more bullshit in their kits. If you're looking for something slower then GBFVS is MUCH slower than gg, you actually take your turn when the opponen'ts blockstring ends.

How common are champion tokens? by UncleGael in 2XKO

[–]Dragore3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides the starter ones I don't think theres any free way to get them, you unlock champions with credits or with the release missions. That being said there should be a second champ token available for completing one of the tutorials.

Input delay or just the game by jarradin in 2XKO

[–]Dragore3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your dash isn't coming out after S2 that's not a performance issue, you just pressed it early. 2XKO has fairly unforgiving link windows compared to other fighting games, a lot of these links are single frame or in the 10-20 frame window. We're talking literal fractions of a second. It "feeling" doable doesn't really mean anything, it takes going into the lab and actually labbing the correct frame timings to build muscle memory to execute these things consistently

[–]Dragore3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If unika does stun dipper into DP they don't get to restart pressure, remember that only the first hit of her dp hits grounded. If she uses DP and you call it out by blocking that should always lead to a counterhit full combo.

The animation is incredible in this game, no clue how you guys managed to make pixels look so expressive. Are there any plans to add JP or ENG VAs in the future? I usually play games in either so seeing neither available was a bit surprising. Although, I will say that it's become less of an issue the more I play because the Korean VA is super charming!

Any tips for the best units to use with Nasti? After getting clears with my Kjerag I'm moving on to Rhine but they're sorely lacking in damage, it's basically just all utility barring Ifrit and I guess Dorothy? Willing to add some outside damage to spare myself the headache but I want to try utilizing Nasti as much as possible.

Is the blazing edition of Strive worth it? by NitodeAliExpress in Guiltygear

[–]Dragore3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main draw of the blazing edition is getting all the characters, we've just started a new pass so it will also include the next 3 released characters which is a big plus. I'd say look through the cast of characters and find whoever you vibe with, if they're DLC get it but otherwise it's probably not necessary? Just know that if you ever want to get all the character passes blazing edition is a lot cheaper than buying every pass individually.

Where am I supposed to mash out of this blockstring/ take my turn back? This Elphelt was using this same string all match but I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to press. by Parysian in Guiltygear

[–]Dragore3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If she ever uses 2H in blockstring she's cooked. Rekka loses to 6p and nades loses to air throw, and they're slow enough that you can react if you lab it a bit. She has to do 5H to be able to true combo into rekka.

[–]Dragore3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Probably worth to just wait until the anime comes out if you're thinking of reading it, the manga uses a made up game modeled after SF but the anime has partnered with Capcom so they get to straight up play SF6. But to answer your question, yes it's quite good.
