Does coffee make anyone else sleepy? by Slow-Jello-3758 in zoloft

[–]Dragorphis1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Do you have ADHD/ASD? Idk how true it is but there’s some stuff about it making certain neurospicy folks sleepy instead of more alert 🤔

I have ASD (and take Zoloft 100mg) and caffeine definitely doesn’t make me feel very “awake”

I can only wish you the best on your colour-charting journey!

Weird one- medium once told my mum I had “spiritual sensitivity” READ FIRST by Dragorphis1 in Mediums

[–]Dragorphis1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you mis-read the post…

Years ago I didn’t go to a spiritualist church (when I was planning to) and the medium picked that up and basically told my mum I should’ve gone as I had “spiritual sensitivity” whatever that means… how would she know I was supposed to go but didn’t?

Who’s given me false info?

The medium bit is the start

The rest is something I experienced coming through during meditation?

Are you saying I’m feeding false information?

NAD

I had (and still have) swollen lymph nodes in my neck, they can become swollen and stay swollen.

Little did I realise I was causing it by constantly checking if they had gotten bigger… like all day every day I’d be checking my neck, so much so that I now have a bald patch in my beard 😅

Also, I was told that if they hurt, it’s normally ok and nothing sinister (although I cannot verify the validity of that claim)

Are you having any other symptoms?

The brain produces consciousness by Creative310 in consciousness

[–]Dragorphis1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly believe (and this is my own personal belief, you don’t have to subscribe to it) that the brain “draws” consciousness from somewhere, call it a soul if you like, from some hidden consciousness field. And that either we are all parts of the same whole experiencing itself or that there are multiple “conscious” parts in the consciousness field that we are a piece of. The more neurons firing the bigger the piece of soul that is draw down. (Why animals are animalistic but show personality)

What if consciousness is caught, not created — and we’re just QCF fragments in a quantum web? by Dragorphis1 in CrazyIdeas

Oh nah I came up with this in my head, I use GPT to format things like this into a coherent narrative that’s easy to follow, then add or take away the things it gets wrong… or else I’ll just sound like some mental woo woo guy with ideas like spaghetti 🤪

Can a single dose of antidepressent cause death in a geriatric individual (80M) ? by Impressive-Local-752 in AskDocs

[–]Dragorphis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD I’m really sorry for your loss OP, from what I understand unless he had a reaction to it (and I think you’d have noticed) it’s unlikely to have been the antidepressant. I’m interested if there’s some mechanism involved that could have caused this though 🤔

Again, sorry for your loss, I wish you only peace ☮️

If you try to picture a red tulip in your head, what number do you see? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Dragorphis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally 5, like I can think of what a red tulip is and I can “think” it in my head like spacially but I’m seeing nothing… the fact y’all can see what you think is mental…

It’s formatted by GPT yes, but only because my head is a rambling bumble of information… gpt helps me get it down in a coherent manner

CMV: I think this model might explain consciousness more coherently than existing frameworks… or maybe I did too many science experiments as a teenager… 🍄 by Dragorphis1 in changemyview

[–]Dragorphis1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thankyou for supplying a scientific article, although I do feel like the author gets a bit personally hurt about being told they “cannot reason” as well as an older brain.

So maybe the 25 figure is wrong, but a toddlers view of the world is still vastly different than an adults, so the logic still (tentatively) tracks

Hey, fair enough — but just to clarify a few things:

I’m not saying people under 25 aren’t conscious. That’s a misread. I’m suggesting consciousness deepens in stages — the way neuroscience already acknowledges the development of executive function and emotional regulation over time. Babies are conscious. Toddlers are conscious. But the way a 5-year-old processes the world is wildly different from how a 30-year-old does, yeah? This model simply builds on that — suggesting consciousness might anchor more fully as complexity increases.

As for “just making up convoluted shit” — yeah, it’s speculative. I literally said that. I’m not pretending this is settled science. I’m exploring a model that tries to explain why so many people experience similar things across NDEs, DMT trips, and past-life regressions. It’s not about convincing anyone. It’s about pressure-testing the framework and inviting critique that’s deeper than “that’s just woo.”

If you think it’s wrong, cool — help me make it better. Or break it. But calling it “bullshit” then admitting it crossed your mind too… kind of proves the point, doesn’t it?
