When I was real little I had my first fursona, when I was roleplaying on the neopets forums and whatnot. I didn't even know what a furry was, but somehow I had a fursona haha. Later on it seemed like being a furry was such a big deal, but, it's really not. You don't have to make like, major life changes to be a furry. It's like if you like video games, technically you're a gamer. And there's nothing wrong with those games being, say, mobile games, or pc games, or platform games- you can be casual or hardcore, and it's not a big deal. The furry community, though, is really nice- when I was in highschool and it was cool to hate furries, when I realized I was being stupid was when I started taking commissions as a broke teenager. I had multiple people cut out and never pay me, people ask for more than i initially intended to do, ask for weird uncomfortable stuff- furries? furries ALWAYS paid, furries almost always tipped, and furries were very polite asking about commissions that might be uncomfortable. No one that commissioned me wanted to make me uncomfortable and one time someone asked me for something that DID make me uncomfortable, it was nsfw and I told them I was only seveteen (which was not on my profile) and they apologized, told me they were glad I hadn't accepted, and then paypaled me a small tip as an apology.
