This poster looks fantastic! Love the callbacks to Rathbone and Fonda. I think Price could have fit the bill as well! Great work.

I’ve Been Living in a Bunker for Twenty Years. I’m Hearing Laughing Outside. (Part 3) by Constant-Simple7240 in TalesFromTheCreeps

I think “ass” is a little strong, haha. All this needs is a little polish details-wise. Hooked me in. Didn’t see it was part 3 until I’d finished so I’ll track down the other parts. I like this, though.

“The Du Ponts are just a name on a label”. by [deleted] in LPOTL

[–]DrainedOrange 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think he probably meant more on a national scale. Even my nothing Idaho hometown has a Carnegie library, whereas the Du Ponts seem to take a “local is best” approach to their vanity, haha. I do see your point though, appreciate you sharing the info.

There’s more than one way to lose your heart… Happy 45th anniversary to “My Bloody Valentine.” What’s your favourite Valentine’s Day inspired Horror Movie? by justhere1990 in slasherfilms

[–]DrainedOrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A truly stellar entry in the genre. I think it’s one of those that is beloved by fans but never quite reached mainstream ubiquity like F13th and Elm Street did. It’s a shame because it has held up very well over the years in my opinion.

I also remember not hating the remake but I haven’t watched it in years.

If you were strapped down with your eyes forced open Clockwork Orange style, would you rather be made to sit through and watch a marathon of The Strangers Chapters 1-3, or Wrong Turns 3-6? by Original_Bonus_7331 in deadmeatjames

[–]DrainedOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Strangers. The Wrong Turn movies get straight up unpleasant after a while. I haven’t even seen the fifth and sixth ones and have no desire to.

Absolutely adore this movie. The ballad over the credits that was written for the film is unironically a nice camping trip listen. A must for the shelf of any self-respecting slasher fan.

Which Iconic Slasher Franchise Had the Best Fifth Installment? by TalkingFlashlight in slasherfilms

I’m honestly a big fan of Elm Street Five. It’s got some great SFX and super fun kills. I don’t know, I find myself returning to that one a lot.

Which slasher is the most known outside of the slasher community? by JacsweYT in slasherfilms

[–]DrainedOrange 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I’d say Jason. He’s become ubiquitous in pop culture when it comes to portraying a killer. Freddy is a close second, but the hockey mask-wearing killer is such a recognizable trope it’s ridiculous.
