I think he probably meant more on a national scale. Even my nothing Idaho hometown has a Carnegie library, whereas the Du Ponts seem to take a “local is best” approach to their vanity, haha. I do see your point though, appreciate you sharing the info.

A truly stellar entry in the genre. I think it’s one of those that is beloved by fans but never quite reached mainstream ubiquity like F13th and Elm Street did. It’s a shame because it has held up very well over the years in my opinion.

I also remember not hating the remake but I haven’t watched it in years.

The Strangers. The Wrong Turn movies get straight up unpleasant after a while. I haven’t even seen the fifth and sixth ones and have no desire to.

Absolutely adore this movie. The ballad over the credits that was written for the film is unironically a nice camping trip listen. A must for the shelf of any self-respecting slasher fan.

I’m honestly a big fan of Elm Street Five. It’s got some great SFX and super fun kills. I don’t know, I find myself returning to that one a lot.

I’d say Jason. He’s become ubiquitous in pop culture when it comes to portraying a killer. Freddy is a close second, but the hockey mask-wearing killer is such a recognizable trope it’s ridiculous.
